So I've had this bag for three years but in grey. It's fine but anything more than $55 and you're probably better looking elsewhere.

Pros :

  • relatively light
  • spacious with a shoe compartment and interior pockets

    Cons :

  • The materials and construction are mediocre: It's fine for a gym bag/easy weekend bag but I'm not confident that it'll hold up to a lot of abuse. That said it's lasted for three years so...
  • The handle (which is leatherish for grey or black) is a pretty horrid vinyl material.
  • The shoulder strap clip squeaks so damn much. This may only be my bag but it's annoying

Check Amazon for what you're buying, with free shipping killed it looks like the same price (with prime).

Example: the packable duffel, same price after EB's shipping cost. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KB2XLLZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_y9EWDbJYJKV1J

I use this one and it has been GREAT

It looks like a mini version of my old Olive drab issued deployment duffel. Go to a military surplus store and get one for like 40 bux or less.
Edit: googled a link.

Something like that

Amazon also has it at $49.99 if anyone decides to jump on this bag. Only 3 left last time I checked.

You should search for duffel bag (sometimes spelled duffle) or weekend bag (Sometimes called weekender instead). Here's a few alternatives (many aren't that similar, but hey, maybe you'll like one of these even more):

Viva Terry

Herschel

Peter Millar

I use this bag. Fits a smaller bag that I carry around the gym. Both pairs of shoes, belt in one side pocket, food in the other. Can't complain.

u/Red1086 · 2 pointsr/boardgames

This is what I use at the moment to transport my games to my FLGS on game nights:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HKMXTO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

But I am considering getting something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Olympia-Inch-Pocket-Rolling-Duffel/dp/B003K4SQV8/ref=sr_1_7?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1451576096&sr=1-7&nodeID=15743251&keywords=suitcase

Not sure if it would work out as well, but its can roll, which will help with how heavy my bag is. It also looks sturdier. Still debating with myself if I should switch.

Oh, if you do decide on the canvas bag, make sure to give it a good wash in the washer/dryer. A lot of people say it has too much dye in it and bleeds when wet. Do yourself a favor and wash/dry before use.

I've been lugging our setup around NYC the past few weeks for demos and use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033399JO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

It's HUGE. Fits our chunky PC, lighthouse stands, all the wires, headset, and a small monitor. It's also quite cheap compared to many other options. Downside - it's a soft case, so not the best for air travel. I did travel cross country with it once before for PAX and it actually was fine, but was anxious the whole flight picturing our PC getting smashed to bits.

u/CW3_OR_BUST · 2 pointsr/EDC

This one's kinda small... compared to this one.

I was looking for them too and could not find any so I went with the navy color of this

https://www.amazon.com/NPUSA-Duffel-Military-Tactical-Shoulder/dp/B07KDZP7DD?th=1&psc=1

It fits 2 full sets of gear.

This is the same bag, just without the Jeep lettering. https://www.amazon.com/Field-Co-Venture-Heather-Charcoal/dp/B07BSH1JLR

I have a huge (as big as allowed, anyway) carry-on duffel bag that I’m actually using as my diaper bag because I needed a bag big enough to also carry my pump in. It’s this one. It doesn’t have big pockets inside though, just 3 smaller ones. I can fit my house in it though, so it works good for me lol. And it’s made out of durable canvas instead of those cheaper plastic-y ones.

u/Shepherdless · 1 pointr/travel

Really depends on the look you are going for - one option, another

You can use a 90L or 120L rolling duffel. If the terrain is too rough, at least you have shoulder straps.

I'm reposting this deal from this thread. The original deal on navali.com expired, and the post is now tagged as expired, but that's not really true. There are other good Navali deals on Amazon, I can personally vouch for the weekender.

u/GreenPulsefire · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I'm considering buying a new bag and maybe someone can help me.

I like this weekender bag by Navali but I want to use it as an everyday bag for university, my side job and free time. Is this too large? Will it look out of place? Has anyone made experiences using a weekender-style bag as everyday bag? Does it work out nicely?

I just like the look of the bag with the small extra pouches.

The alternative would be this.

u/CleFerrousWheel · 1 pointr/frugalmalefashion

I just ordered this one from Herschel and I review it for you when I get it next Tuesday. I know Herschel has a good reputation and amazon has really painless returns (and I still have my free Prime).

I looked at the Target one in my local store and it seemed a little too small to carry a spare pair of shoes and two sets of clothes. Since your luggage is something you'll use for years its usually worth getting something more expensive to suit your needs more closely. I didn't go with the Everlane because I may want a shoulder strap sometimes (I'm 6'4 so the 12" drop handles aren't good for slinging around my shoulder).

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HOMZLG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 i have this one right now. if i could add/change anything it would be to make the side pouch bigger and zippable

u/ejector_crab · 1 pointr/consulting

This is basically my exact setup except I'm using an eBags backpack and a cheap duffel off of Amazon. I'd love to get a Tom Bihn but can't swing that price. The duffel has held up surprisingly well but as with any $12 bag, it will need an upgrade eventually. That Red Oxx looks like a phenomenal replacement.

I just noticed you pack a second monitor? What...how...huh?

THIS should fit the bill.

10 cents a page, with a total volume of ~0.375 cubic inches

[this] (http://www.amazon.com/Everest-Luggage-Sporty-Gear-Bag/dp/B004GI7LNQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1421968812&sr=1-2) duffel bag is 3025 cubic inches.

So that's OVER 8000 pieces of paper, for a total cost of ~800 dollars.

I don't know how much a bomb costs but I bet it's less than $800 considering you can get a gun for that price...
