duuuude

edit: but fr, I use this cardholder and then hook it to my pants using this wallet chain. Also, everyday when I come home I hang it on a command hook beside the front door, but I still need a soultion for my smartphone 😭

This is super cute.

My phone case has a slot for 3 cards, and this is similar.

This is also decent.

We do tend to seem a bit younger than our peers, but there is a fine line between that and things that are truly childish, so good call on what your mom picked out.

Many of us like animals and cute things though. Maybe something like this ? (Kinda want that for myself, ngl lol... I also saw some similar things at American Greetings the other day if you don’t want to order online.) Or something fun like those string lights you can hang up in your bedroom? Or maybe stuff like notebooks/pens? (They have lots and lots at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s.)

It can be hard to know what a good gift would be, because we’re all so different & tend to be kind of particular people :S

This is what I have, it is slim and fits my needs. I can't comment on the durability, because I've only had it for about a year.

The picture makes it look kinda crappy, but it is pretty nice.

It was probably an oversized wallet like one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Capacity-Leather-Organizer-Removable-Wristlet/dp/B07DJ8NYLB

As for WHY, the clip is from 2010 and she's a highschool student. Smartphones were still a bit of a luxury for teenagers and schools were commonly banning them. Having a calculator wouldn't have been unheard of.

I like the Manhattan Portage coin purse . It's just large enough to be useful but still small enough to fit comfortably in your pocket. There aren't and dividers inside though if that's a feature you want.

I’ve gotten more compliments on that bag than anything else I’ve owned. People have literally recognized me by the purse, I can’t wait to become a campus legend

Here’s the purse btw

Try a card holder. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Credit-Holder-Wallet-Leather-Minimalist/dp/B07HQ4DJMM

More expensive options, exist, obviously.

I'll bite, what would something like this cost?

It's exactly the sort of style I'd prefer, but I'm cheap. I'm also a little concerned by atsu333's statement that seems to indicate the wallet will loosen up enough in time to not hold its contents. Would you mind commenting on this possibility? I currently use this and it also loosens up a little, but once the cards are socketed in the bottom I don't have any issues with anything coming out of it. The open design of your wallet looks like it might have more issues there, but I might not care (depending on price).

How many cards did you design it to hold? How few and how many will it hold easily?

As to the design, I definitely like it, but if you have the skills I'd suggest adding custom tooling and dye jobs. In fact, it'd be such a boon to your sales that I'd suggest an inexpensive base option and more expensive options to personalize them if a user wishes. Contract it out if need be, but I can see the optional work being a big seller. Hell, I'd even consider it if offered at a solid markup and I'm a cheap bastard, it'd look good. My father tooled leather in his spare time and I've always loved how the patterns work light that plays over them.

Looks like a good product, would like to see some flair on it :).

I like a slim wallet , I’ve been looking at the Bellroy note sleeve but I keep hearing some bad things although it seems really nice . I also just found this wallet on amazon (one in the picture) but I’m not sure if the quality will be up there to last years .

I like the idea of it being slim while still having a “note” compartment. Also I’m in Canada so it needs to actually be big enough to fit our currency.

If anyone knows of a brand or someone who makes these but can keep it slim , please comment !

Thanks!

Styles I was looking at:

Not so much that they were inconvenient, but sometimes feels too bulky for me. I liked having the notebook, but used it mostly for reference (IT stuff, commands, notes, etc) and was not updating it often. I have since switched to a smaller zipper wallet like this, and in doing so have given up the notebook but gained the ability to carry a pen, small thumb drives, guitar picks, and other nonsense in a package that's easier on my back end. I'm with you in that initially it feels better to take notes on paper, but I've switched to using phone apps like Google Keep for the trade-off of pocket comfort.

I'd say get your hands on a cheap one and see how it works for you.

Manhattan Portage Coin Purse, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YWZUZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_plM9BbCBFC4CH

Costs $9, comes in a bunch of colors, it's a wallet size zippered pouch made of cordura. Holds my 20ish cards + a swisscard + a few hundred cash & some quarters with room to spare.

u/howlingwolfpress · 1 pointr/AskReddit

This is the highest quality thing I can recommend for under $25.
