You can get a build-a-bear kit to make with her at the hospital!

Coloring books are a always good

Maybe ask the coworker what the girl really likes. Say she likes something that you wouldn't think of. Say she has love for toy cars. You could get her a few.

A bin of legos

You could get her this bead set that is made for ages 4-6. It would give her something to do.

One of these. People cut down the BS when you aim artillery at them.

I'd suggest buying a bunch of these since they're basically already 'pawn' shaped and then painting them. Certainly beats buying a dozen chess sets.

Or if you're feeling up to it, try woodburning the features and then staining them for a more rustic look. You could use a lighter stain for player characters, and a darker stain for bad guys, or vice-versa.

I got a wood burning kit for Christmas in the eighties. The very first time I tried it out, I burned my hand, dropped it on the floor and it broke into separate pieces. I'm kinda surprised they still sell it today, that thing is dangerous (and it looks boring as hell).

I'm looking forward to getting my hair cut. It's a win-win because my herrr gets did and I get to chat with my jr high/high school friend (aka: my stylist). That's always good times. She's more of a Disney nut than I am (she has the PREMIUM annual pass!!!) and she's just fun to hang out with. With our hectic schedules, it's a nice excuse to get together.

Two of these in my "Play" list would be awesome. My kiddos will paint the crap out of these trains. =)

I'm guessing you are talking about the 4 in one tool sets that would work as a sander, lathe, jigsaw and drill press. I found a few links by earching on Google for "4 in one woodworking tool toy"

Amazon has a modern version: here

This looks more like the classic version I remember: From Mindware

Should I go with the 6" or the 12"? I have no idea if his projects are big or small. I am half wanting to get him a gag gift because of his lack of detail. But that would be lame.
