If it turns out to be the case that you can't place the soundbar in front of the set without blocking the IR sensor, then you might want to consider a TV stand like this one.

I use it with my KS8000 and a rather tall center channel speaker - it looks great and keeps everything working as intended.

My toddler smashed a TV by throwing a toy at it so I bought an acrylic screen protector for the new one. So far has worked great.

Oh! I think I got it. So the TCL I'm thinking of doesn't have the nicest HDR and I totally accept that I won't get the most amazing picture ever for $300. But simply having the television on in the daytime near a window won't render it impossible to watch, yeah?

Go on Amazon , they make a ton of stands that work amazing. I happened to purchase one and could not be happier , it will allow you to tilt the tv from front to back and slide it left and right on the stand.

Yep. Although I am generally on rtings' side - which is warranties are more profitable statistically to the company than to the customer, I am going for one just for peace of mind.

No it's not really on sale. Costco had this one http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN65JS8500-65-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B00U9U9GII in 55 inch for 1k 1499-500=$999 way better tv. They had the ju7000 for 899. Difference is the 8500 does 3D. If your buying a new Samsung make sure it has the S Nano crystals that's the big difference between 2014 and 2015

How's it compare to the 6 Series? The only thing that turned me off about the 6 series is that it's edge lit LED instead of Backlit like the 2017 I linked.
