Many people don't realize how crazy it is to WANT to be chained to the wall with proprietary non-replaceable batteries (NRB's) that force you to buy a new device when they fail on a predetermined schedule. You can either play, or you can charge. Which would you rather pay to do? You can be either wireless without wires, or wireless with wires. Which would you rather pay to have?

Rechargeable AA batteries exist. I recommend you get these ones:

So, I got these sticks from Amazon:

I put them into my SN30 Pro+, and this is what it all looks like:

They actually work quite well, but yeah, there is some rubbing up on the controller on the inside, specifically whenever I'm moving the sticks down and to the left. (Originally, they got stuck so much that they were unusable, but rotating them 180 degrees allowed them to function.) I love having them in there, enough that I don't think that I'm going to go back to the stock plastic/rubber ones, but just keep in mind that they're not perfect. It's SO close, too; if I click the sticks in to press L3 or R3 and then move them all around, there's no rubbing at all. If only there were a way of dropping the board in the controller down by half a millimeter or so, everything would be perfect.

If you are going to be exclusively using it as an Xbox controller, I'd recommend just picking up a regular Xbox controller, as it's much easier and has proper triggers. The Xbox Wireless Controller also now has Bluetooth so you don't need dongles.

The FC/NES30 Pro is only really useful as a portable controller for your phone and for retro games.

Pre-ordered a black one; it's been great! Never had any issues on PC or Shield & didn't even use that tiny 1000mAh battery, went for externally charged eneloop batteries right out of the box.

Granted, I still prefer my DS4's (minus the non-removable battery) but the Pro+ been great thus far with everything I've thrown at it, no matter what gaming genre it is.

Thanks for your response. That sounds like it may be a good workaround, though I don't have access to a Wiimote at the moment, so that's an additional expense... But it's a good idea.

I'm thinking it actually looks like this version of the controller is the one I'm looking for?

Seems to be a slightly older model that isn't on their website, but is marketed as being PC bluetooth compatible, so maybe I'll give it a try. Hopefully it will work with a superNT in the future, I'm considering getting one.

Edit: I'm going to give this method a go with the newer 2.4G model and see if I can fool Windows into thinking it is a WiiController... I'll report back my findings for science.

I used this Qi receiver from Amazon for the mod: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7TF28D/

The fit is a little tight, but it’s still easy enough to close the controller after installation.

EDIT: This receiver allows pass through, so you can still charge or connect via USB.

For wired, it has to be the Xbox 360 to PS4 converter or Xbox 360/Xbox One to PS4, both of them are green.

I might buy one of these just to play LA the proper way.

This may be overkill, but won't find anything more sturdy and protective!

I tried everything. My PC could detect the controller, but it barely did anything. I'm sending it back and getting the iBuffalo Classic USB Gamepad (https://smile.amazon.com/Buffalo-iBuffalo-Classic-Gamepad-BSGP815GY/dp/B06XWD8QQJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1518988706&sr=8-1&keywords=ibuffalo)

I have a pair of Bluetooth stereo speakers that look similar (and honestly might be practically the same internally except for the skin), and you can only plug the auxillary cable into one speaker and the other pairs wirelessly to it - connecting directly to the same device isn't supported. Never got them to work right for more then a few minutes at a time since they drift out of sync (and generally sound a lot worse than this old Jambox speaker I have by itself for music), so they've been relegated to the tech junk drawer of purgatory.

If you do figure it out, let me know because I might want to be able to figure out something to do with those crappy speakers. It would probably involve cracking them open and rewiring a passthrough or something though.
