So, I figured I'd just give some info on this ensemble. I got most of the pieces on Amazon

Bolero Shrug

Corset

White Under Skirt

Blue Skirt

Bird/Cage Cameo on Etsy

This was put together for Wizard Con in NYC yesterday. I was there doing interviews with Another Way Around: The Away Cast. Our interview video will be up soon. One of the guys from the site put on my "First Outfit" Elizabeth costume and we competed for "Who Wore it Better". He won. :-)

This is in no way the best computer you could use for gaming, but it's a pretty cheap laptop. I own it, and can handle BioShock Infinite on High. (Same goes for its predecessors.)

I was looking for more BioShock-related material to read myself and besides the books you mentioned I came across these:

Many are documented on the Bioshock wikia (some of which I've uploaded myself), but scattered across many pages.

Google Reverse Image Search helps somewhat. It appears that a lot of these are public domain and available in compilation books.

Otherwise, it's instinct and trying to find the appropriate keywords. I'm surprised how much work went into disguising the snowman as a pig, but retaining most of the features.

Here's another one from Burial at Sea.

"Stand Above the Crowd at Fontaine's"

Modiano Cigarette Paper

Concept Art of the Farmer's Market from the CultofRapture

Have One Oranges

I also found the Rapture City Archives to be really helpful in presenting all the ads in one place so I didn't have to extract the files directly.

I suspect that some of the cartoony ones are taken from 50s clip art books, but I'm not certain.

For some steampunk/alt history fun, try the Clockwork Century books by Cherie Priest.

Check out this turntable: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002GYTPB8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1394466180&sr=8-1

You can convert your records into mp3 files with this turntable.

If you have a little more money check out the Music Hall turntables. They have adjustable weights and are generally better than the Audio Technica turntables. Here's one of the cheaper models: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004EDXCFE/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1394466573&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

Check out /r/vinyl for more information. To be warned they can be a little pretentious.

Any of these with the manual intact will work.

u/skittles1292 · 8 pointsr/Bioshock

Not real at all. I got them off Amazon.

Rubie's Costume Co Slaughtering...

I did find one on amazon. here

Also! Word of warning: Perma-blood is for props/clothes only. I would highly recommend Ben Nye's makeup wheels for blood and bruises and stuff on skin. It's also high quality and very realistic without being itchy :) This is the one I have.

TWO COMMON MISTAKES

  • is the xbox360 controller your plugging in a WIRED controller in that it is not battery powered at all? see here. As far as I know a wireless controller plugged into a computer using a battery charger will not work and it must be a wired xbox 360 controller.

  • have you installed the controller driver? see here. From what I remember I had to install a driver before my controller would run.
