This is what I went with.

The blue yeti is the best bang for your buck. It has a few different settings and such that really let you get the sound you want, even if you want to record multiple people. I don't actually use it for any production use, I just really dislike sounding poorly when I play D&D online with my friends lol.

Don't forget the pop filter either. They are usually under $10 and help a surprising amount with the audio. Hope to see more content on this sub from you!

My favorite mouse I ever owned was a Razer Abysus. Simple, light weight, and awesome. Used in SC2 as well.

>...a pair of headphones that is accurate enough to be used as a reference point for the music that it plays. In studio, headphones are one tool that can be used to determine if a track is mixed right, and you want to use reference grade equipment to ensure that everything is right. Often, real studio designed/reference grade headphones are actually less preferred for listening to music, even though some of us tend to prefer that balanced sound. In that context, studio headphones are often contrasted with "hi-fi" headphones, which aren't designed to be precise and accurate so much as they are designed to make music sound really pleasant to the ears.

Only guide worth buying is the Diablo III Brady guide. Biggest problem is that it is out of date but has a lot of cool info in it that I have not seen anywhere else. Good read while on the toilet.

Plus, it is only $3.64

If you buy a cloth mousepad for $40 you're an idiot.

$5 is about what they're worth.

I have an older version of this and it's been going on 10 years now, excellent surface and i would recommend it to everyone.

Mine's cooler though, navy blue and orange border :P Couldn't find that one on amazon though -- might be too old.

this and the MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 are what I've used for the past 14 years, with an average lifespan of 5 years/mouse. They're equivalently awesome and affordable.. I really don't see a reason to use a different one unless you want to go cordless (real gamers don't go cordless though)

If you're not opposed to spending a little money a dynaflex does wonders. I use one similar daily. Got one for rock climbing. They run about $20. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000LPG5US?pc_redir=1410936714&robot_redir=1

When I got D2 I wanted the first game but I also wanted the expansion. I had to buy it on ebay as the only way to get it new was to buy the battlechest but the price was too much and I already owned D2.

D1, on it's own, is still available and it isn't too expensive.

Hellfire, OTOH, is a bit too expensive for a non-canon game but that's just my opinion.

The sad this is that there is a set of used bundle right now being sold that costs about as much as I paid for a slightly used version. Only consolation is that I got the Prima guide.

I'd pick this one up if I were the OP and wanted to get the first one for the collection.
