Remember how cool this bad boy was in The Last Jedi? Me neither - because it wasn't in it. Due to various reasons, the toys don't always represent the final film, so let's keep that in mind, for one. Still, I think this is pretty cool.

>One of the leading theories is that the Sith troopers are loyal to Palpatine, but the fat that the Jet Trooper versions are identical basically makes me think the Sith troopers are actually a part of the FO.

The Sith Troopers themselves are mostly identical to F.O. troopers, and they have been repeatedly advertised as part of it. They 100% will be part of the F.O. in some variety - I don't think that rules Palpatine out of the question.

If anything, this makes me even more suspicious that they will not be entirely the same thing. Between the red-striped ISDs, the TIE dagger, which has the red stripes and Imperial colours, and the Sith troopers (and now the Sith Jet troopers), there is an entire re-skin of the First Order existing. Palpatine seems most obvious, but it could be because of something else also, it's to early to tell. This makes me think there will be a reason that the audience needs to clearly tell that they are distinct - most excitingly, in a F.O vs Red Faction engagement, due to infighting or a grand-scale redemption, but even if they don't go that far, they might have very different purposes - either story-wise or ideologically.

All sounds very exciting to me!

I have [this](The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels (Star Wars) https://www.amazon.com/dp/034539299X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_0OZtybBEQK8WZ) series: it's the Essential Guide, not the technical guides. Got my universes crossed.

It looks like there are more up-to-date versions available now, including some great looking cutaway books.

I think Starlog published them. They had floor plans of the Falcon and diagrams of droids and stuff. The most notable thing I remember was that R5-D4 had a different name: a long string of characters that started with R2. That actually matches the movie dialogue and Lucas's intentions better than the Kenner name for "Red."

EDIT: OK, not that hard to find. Here is the collection of all three issues into a book:

So, you're willing to believe that George was involved in a strategy to bash Episode VII so that prequel haters will like it, but you're not willing to believe that some of the quotes you're citing could be executives performing good PR?

As I've said, George's treatment of the ST was written to sweeten the deal to Disney. To me, this does not point to it being a story that he would fight tooth and nail to defend. They were treatments, not screenplays. Ideas, not scripts.

> George: "Hey I've been writing the ST for a year before I decided to sell to Disney, let me just sell knowing that they can trash my entire vision with nothing I can do about it!" Logical.

You make it sound like I'm pulling it out of my ass. That was literally written and cited in a book about George's life.

I don't know why you're getting so worked up, to be honest. The simple fact of the matter is that there's literally a book on the subject that disproves many of your points. I suggest you do your own homework before telling me to do mine.

So again, $$$. I bet it's even discussed by executives.

You really need to check out the Essential Atlas next time you visit a bookstore: Star Wars: The Essential Atlas https://www.amazon.com/dp/0345477642/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_D2dDDb8W3WJ5S

The first section is an in depth description of the galaxy as told by a veteran space to a new recruit in a spacer organization. It details the many types of celestial bodies found in the galaxy and how they complicate travel.

They were kind of hard to find, Limited Edition, but they were released at one point. I'll concede that they should be made available again.
