I've tried over ten different screen protectors on the OP6. The two I highly recommend

The first protector listed has a guide which helps. Additionally, it's easier to align in general since the notch section has precise cut outs for the camera.

The second protector (Orzly) I've also had great results with.

It's important to remember that the most important part of installing a screen protector is the preparation. You will be hard pressed to find any protector (that isn't manipulated reviews) with five stars.

If you have but one spec of dust on the screen when you install it then you will not be satisfied. Clean the screen and your hands, and then do it again and again.

Make sure you have compressed air, and blow it off. Wait a little bit, if no obvious particles manage to settle back down, give it one more quick blow and apply. For most people, especially pet owners, the best place to install is in your bathroom. Prior to installation, clean your bathroom thoroughly, remove all rugs, and some people like to steam it up with their shower.

I really like the installation guide for the first protector, and the fact that the notch section is not just one cut out. I was using the Orzly previously. No complaints whatsoever about the Orzly one either. Both installed perfectly, and the only difference is the installation bracket with the first one is pretty nice.

TLDR: Most tempered glass protectors are sufficient. Generally, most problems are from the installer not the protector.

OtterBox doesn't make a defender case for OnePlus 6 but there is one like an OtterBox defender. I am using it on my OnePlus 6 and it works good seems to protect phone good. Here is the link I used to order one for my OnePlus 6.

Risky. I wish I could do it because I really love how this phone looks and feels without a case.

Fwiw if you ever look into screen protectors again, I've been using IQ Shield brand protectors for the longest time. One of the best imo and never had issues.

I actually purchased this one and its pretty slim and more durable than the one out of the box. I've been really satisfied with it!

It's almost perfect, looks good , slim and has built in metal plate, but does it has a lip like the original one? From the pictures it seems it doesn't

I decided to try another TGSP for the Oneplus 6. I have tried that sucked so bad, I through them away immediately.
Just received this 3pack and applied one. To my pleasant surprise, I don't hate this one. It has the black border, but it is thin enough on the sides that it doesn't cut anything off, that I can tell.

I use this orzly case, very light protection but it has grip on sides which is amazing

You need one with DAC (digital analog converter). You can find one on Amazon or even buy the Apple one (Wich has good reviews and low price).

I use two cases, depending on what I'm doing:


Official Flip Cover, Black

The OnePlus official flip cover is quality stuff, and fits one card in an indent without effecting the form or function of the case. Had issues with others closing flush on other phones. Probably the best flip cover case I've owned for a phone, and I'm not one to purchase the fancy ones — black leather is just fine.


TUDIA Slim-Fit, Matte Black

This one is my daily driver. Matte black, soft touch. Dropped my phone once or twice and this case provides great protection. It's one of those two-layer cases with a soft cover and a hard shell. Reminds me of a Spigen case, but isn't. This was one of the first proper cases I discovered for the phone after buying it.

Due to the curved edge of the screen, it's hard to install them without any air bubbles but they provide better protection. I recommend using the one that came pre-installed until it gets damaged

EDIT: additionally glass screen protectors could be incompatible with your case which is why I was asking

I am using this tempered glass from Orzly. I've tried the Mr Shield and it went too far out to the edge of the screen making it pull up on most of my cases. I'm using the Orzly with the UAG plasma case and works very well.

FocusPower F16 I use them one at a time, and they last 8hrs+- (yes 8hrs) per charge. I'm at 85% after that time, with listening to podcasts.

I'm using one from poetic, they have a few options that come with or without a border. I'm using this one with a black border but it comes without it as well. Just be careful if you order from ebay, I've had wrong ones sent to me because there are like 3 or 4 versions.
