I have also been looking for specific made carry cases, the one coming to the uk officially licensed has not been released yet and no date, it's on the uk PlayStation website, these have been released and in stock in Australia so far, some video reviews on YouTube:

Others with no release date that I could find are:

The only released case is the licensed power a storage case but it is simply a storage case! Won't get the other parts in like all the cables and breakout box.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Officially-Licensed-Premium-Protection-Case/dp/B01KSXJIGU

That's pretty much it for licensed U.K. Products. The one I went for was the official licensed RDS Industries deluxe carry case available in the us, looks amazing quality so I can transport the entire lot to and from work when I stay over, cost me about £77 in total with shipping and vat, seems expensive then again if I'm transporting I would rather keep my £350 headset safe for the sake of £77 Note though read the reviews, it looks a snug fit which is good for safety but you may struggle to get the camera in and any extras! :

https://www.amazon.com/Industries-PlayStation-Headset-Accessories-Deluxe-Carrying/dp/B01LB4KJ90

Not many more options at the moment other than the generic carry cases that seem to be for anything the fit yet are marketed as if they were made for PSVR when clearly they were not, obviously some will do the job fine depending if you want a perfect fit or just want to keep it safer that in a general bag.

I ordered this one. I will admit my first impression when I got it was it seemed like semi-cheap Chinese materials for what is a pretty high price. However, I do really like it now. It does fit everything, including a few extras and game discs, very nicely. It is just firm enough to feel protective, and it makes carting everything needed for the VR setup easy. They elastic that holds the PS4 seems a little weak (especially for the heavy pro, but once closed, it's great. This is not a hard bag you could say check at the airport, but it is very useful and convenient to pack up the PS4 and PSVR in the car to take to friends and family. In the end, I'm satisfied with it, and haven't seen any other case that holds BOTH the PS4 and PSVR yet that I would consider better (granted, I haven't done exhaustive searches):

As an aside, as I was searching my orders to find that link above, I noticed this one too, which wasn't available when I got mine. Doesn't look bad and it's 10 cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Travel-PlayStation-Launch-Console-Hermitshell-4/dp/B01MRWTHEY

You dont NEED headphones, but it is nice not to be bothering anyone else around you by using a quality headset.

If you are looking for noise canceling headphones then ignore my recommendation. For seamless form fitting design and ease of use while sharing my headset with others, I am a total fan of the PSVR mantis headphones.

Bionik BNK-9007 Mantis Headphone for Playstation VR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0735X5M4X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_yrn9BbPPMBE4X

They have quality 3d sound but are not as booming as total over ear, earphones and do not eliminate outside noises. I prefer this though, as I dont want to be totally isolated from my surroundings.

They are really well made and I've been very happy with mine. They really should have been included by Sony in the design as they are such a perfect and comfortable match. They dont make your ears to hot which is a big plus. I like that I can actually flip either side up at a slight angle away from my ear so I can hear and have conversations with people next to me.

If I had to come up with a negative, it would be the added wires that drape down the back. I ended up picking up some velcro wire management straps, to help and keep everything together as nice as possible.

u/gooeyguts21 · 4 pointsr/PSVR

I have the mantis which are on ear. Because of on ear, they aren't noise canceling. I prefer to have noise canceling so I can get 100% immersed in the game, but there are definitely advantages to on ear. The main advantages for me is I can flip it up and hear my SO if she needs something. They are beneficial in that sense since you're not completely divided from the real world.

This doesn't benefit me because I love horror games, but those who are easily scared will enjoy the mantis because you can still out things outside of the game making it less scary knowing you can hear your family around you.

Easy setup and they are very comfortable. They still produce a solid volume.

> I have wondered if VR games will give me any problems

I've never played Final Fantasy XV, but under certain circumstances I also can get migraine and just feel awful.

Maybe it has something to do with the rather low/unstable frame rate of the game.

So this should be no problem with PSVR, because all games must run least at 60 fps and then get processed to 120 fps or run natively at 90 or also at 120 fps.

Motionsickness itself will only get bad if you don't stop playing immediately. It took me like three months until I could play any kind of game for a nearly unlimited time.

Your mind and body may have to adjust itself to this new situations. It's like people getting sick in a car, ship or plane, but at least in vr you can just stop... it may just take time to earn your vr legs, but it's nothing to fear! :)

At first I mostly played Battlezone (great game!) 'cause it just worked for me. Other people will have different experiences, so just try out what works for you, thats's why I recommended those vr Demo Discs and VR Worlds.

Looked up this two deals for you in case you didn't do this already yourself:

https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-VR-Skyrim-Bundle-4/dp/B077BWQ91D/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1525971597&sr=1-3&keywords=PSVR&th=1

https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-VR-Skyrim-Bundle-4/dp/B076PW5K56/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1525971597&sr=1-3&keywords=PSVR&th=1

Both bundles seem great.

Doom looks great and it's mostly Doom as you maybe know it, but it's in most peoples opinion only good with a simple DS4-Controller.

Skyrim on the other hand looks not always as good, but for such an "old" game that is buggy as ever it's just wonderful... you will experience what VR has to offer, especially when you are able to use those fun locomotion controls with Move-Controllers.

Enjoy your ride!

:)

Yes and no. The issue at hand is that HDR can’t pass through the PSVR’s processor box. Thus, you have one of three options:

  1. Upgrade to a V2 headset. Technically the best option, but obviously very pricey.

  2. Manually change around the HDMI cables from when you want to play PSVR and when you want to play/watch something with HDR. This one isn’t recommended as, aside from being cumbersome, it also puts extra wear on your HDMI ports, which isn’t good for your hardware’s health longterm.

  3. Perhaps the best practical option - do the workaround method. Get an 2 to 1 HDMI switch (one that both allows for 4K/HDR passthrough, and is bidirectional) and a total of 5 HDMI cables (2 of which being the ones that allow for 4K/HDR). Feed one of the 4K cables to the lone port on your switch, then feed your second 4K cable from one of the two ports on the other end of your switch to the HDR port on your 4K TV. Then, feed another cable from the second of the two ports to the PSVR processor box, and then the last cable from the processor box to another port on your tv.

After you do all of that, then all you have to do is press the button on the switch (ideally before you turn on/wake up your PS4) and turn your tv to the proper input channel to switch between HDR use and PSVR use. While it’s still slightly cumbersome, and uses an extra slot on your tv (though in theory you could get a second switch to feed the end results of both paths back into a single port if ports on your tv are limited), it’s at least MUCH cheaper than shilling out for a whole new headset. This is the option I went with:

    IBIS Pro 4K HDMI Bi-Directional Switch 4K 60 Hz at 4:4:4, HDCP Pass-Through (HDCP 2.2 Support), 2x1 or 1x2
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FN9J3KY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EIh1DbZFCD426

(hyperlinking the link didn’t want to work for some reason)

I’ve tried cheaper options, but the didn’t work very well - I’d get random second-long blackouts when trying to play in 4K, which obviously was unacceptable. That one mostly works - every so often the screen comes up blank, or this weird compromised view where only blue and yellow colors and no sound came through (which ironically enough would happen on the PSVR side instead of the 4K), but a quick double-press of the button on the switch always fixed that issue.

Oh, and try to keep the HDMI cables to 3ft/1m or less if you can. I’ve heard stories of people having issues if any of their cables in the setup were longer than that.

I actually found this one and after setting it up partially, as my Skyrim PSVR arrives this Wednesday, I think it’s organized and handy.

It charges 2 DS4 controllers, 2 Move controllers and it has a stand for any PS4 with 2 built in fans!

I saw it before Black Friday at $35 on amazon, but price went up to $46. Definitely worth checking out as an alternative for the Creative Minds one.

Keep in mind hdr is pretty demanding. You've got to get the right cable and switcher and hope it works with your TV/receiver combo. Read the reviews carefully, preferably a unit where people mention PS4 hdr success. A passive splitter that splits 1 to 2 full time is not likely to work for hdr bc 6dB loss. Your best bet is a switcher. Only one connection is active at one time. There are tutorial on youtube for this.

The swutch I own and works is [not available] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FN9J3KY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_nps6BbV83S42H). At least it's an example and I don't look like a shill for big switch.

u/craigc6 · 2 pointsr/PSVR

This is the second of two brands I have bought the first is one others will likely recommend, but I forget the name and it doesn't work on two of the four charging ports. The second has one of the DS4 charging slots blocked by wires, but has four USB inputs on the front which is awesome, not to mention it can hold your PS4 and has a fan to help cool. This is that one... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075X47CG7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I thought about getting a full PSVR stand, but then I realized I don't want my headset to get dusty or sunlight. So I got a case for the headset and a charging stand for the move controllers, and I'm super happy with my choice

u/Drjay425 · 1 pointr/PSVR

I bout the PS3 ones from a local gamestop for $25 each. They work fine with the PSVR and the battery life is still great on them. I do recommend a charging dock for them though. I got this one and it works great for them.

OR... For the single handed pistol sidearm, could use an existing and/or create a simple "pistol" move attachment.

For example, I have this one.. Would be AWESOME to implement something like that!

I bought this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01KSXJIGU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Perfect fit, nice and solid and holds the long lead as well as the headset

u/SlimVR · 1 pointr/PSVR

In the US, v2 moves were included with Skyrim bundle, and now come with the Creed/Super Hot bundle. You can purchase at most major retailers like Amazon for example ($93).

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07B4BFC6S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp&qid=1539215325&amp&sr=8-1

These are definitely the v2 version. The v1 (mini usb) version is $83 (or $10 cheaper than v1) on Amazon. V2 Moves rarely go on sale, and stick pretty close to $100.

GameStop - Skyrim bundle $349.99! - Out of Stock online

Walmart - Skyrim Bundle $349.00 - Out of Stock online

Newegg - Skyrim Bundle $349.99 + $6.99 shipping Out of Stock

Best Buy - Skyrim Bundle $349.99 Out of Stock online

Target - Skyrim Bundle $349.99 - Out of Stock online

Amazon - Skyrim Bundle $349.00 - Out of Stock!

I'll add other links to this post as I see them!

Update: It's almost 2am eastern and I'm heading to bed. I'll update with more links in the morning!

Update: It's morning and Amazon and Target have joined into the fun! It looks like few online sellers have run out of stock yet, so you can be picky about your retailer. Amazon and Walmart are 0.99 cheaper, if that makes a difference to you.

Update: 2:30pm eastern, looks like places are starting to sell out online. Time to get in your order if you've been on the fence

Update: 11/20 1:30pm - GameStop is now sold out online, so only Walmart is showing stock. Make sure you check your local stores if you are chasing one since stores aren't necessarily showing the stock level of stores.

Update: 11/25 9am - Walmart has finally sold out online as well. They were the last holdout for online sales. Your local stores might still have them though. Also might be worth checking Craigslist and the like for people who bought extras or tried it and didn't like it (Yeah I know, but there's a guy near me selling it after "trying for 30 minutes and getting nauseous").

u/Ular01 · 2 pointsr/PSVR

I bought this case over the summer and it works great. Only thing it would not fit was the aim controller. Everything else fit nicely.

u/tjj5022 · 1 pointr/PSVR

I travel all the time with my pro and PSVR. This case is well worth the price if you don't want to risk breaking the precious cargo en route. I can ft my PS4, headset, all cables, 2 ds4's, 2 moves, and a few physical games. Highly recommended https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MRWTHEY?psc=1

u/iBobaFett · 7 pointsr/PSVR

I went with this after someone on the sub recommended it:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6EB8DM/

It's working really well for me. Sorta similar to your method, but the wires are all above my head rather than behind.

Edit: Looks like at the moment it's $25.99 + $5 shipping. When I ordered mine last week it had free Prime shipping. Still sold by the same seller, just dunno why they aren't offering the free shipping now.

u/Dixonian89 · 1 pointr/PSVR

I only have one ds4 controller so that's in the available usb port after VR is using the other one. As for the move controller I bought this. SOOO worth the $7 I paid for it. Looks super nice too next to all my gear.

It may sound like some sort of voodoo magic, but if you suffer from any sort of motion sickness, Sea Bands are a MUST

might not be too helpful, but I've ordered this, which I think looks way better, and is only 30GBP. Not shipping till Feb 24 though, but for others not in a rush, it might be worth the wait.

u/MetaruGiaSoriddo · 1 pointr/PSVR

Are these the ones you're talking about? They look pretty cool and hook on to the PSVR headset. I might have to check them out.

u/Hell-O-Joe · 1 pointr/PSVR

Been sold out since day 1 here in Tokyo, no where to even demo (Kinda ironic with Sony HQ here and a pop of 40 mil). People were getting from Amazon US and paying even more ($70+) for import duty fees/shipping But now Amazon US looks sold out too, same with the Pro.

I don't know where u are but apparently Amazon.ca has some at around normal price. Just checked and they're in stock for about $550 Canadian ($416 US dollars), new, free prime shipping, but don't think they ship outside Canada...

I was noticing some clouding on my lenses last week and some residue building up in the corners, I figured I must have rubbed them too hard with my microfiber cloth and pushed oils into the cracks. One cleaning with a Lens Pen and everything cleared up like they were brand new. I highly recommend owning one.

u/runsleeprepeat · 1 pointr/PSVR

But powering the ds4 via micro-usb is not the best idea. They tend to get loose contact. That's why Sony added the power connector at the bottom.

Another nice stand is at amazon uk:

This game was meant to be played with the VirZOOM Virtual Reality Exercise Bike, but the Demo iscompatible with DUALSHOCK®4 controller.

Sounds like they didn't fix the bug but it somehow got past Sony QA, or Sony just waived it.

u/avomwew · 3 pointsr/PSVR

Try seabands! They're wristbands that push on a pressure point, and they have worked really well for me. Has worked for me in VR and for motion sickness in cars, planes, and boats, with no side effects. And you can wear them whenever you need them, so also a much cheaper option than motion sickness medicines.

I got the Mantis PSVR headset some say it breaks immersion since it doesn't block out all of the outside noise, but its a good buy for me since I won't bother with looking for the headphones when I can't see it or it falling off my head

u/vyper248 · 2 pointsr/PSVR

Yeah, I mean I like the hard case because it'll stop dust building up quite so fast, and it's good protection from cats and sunlight. And with the case I have I can still leave it connected because the cable can just come out of the corner, with the zip up against it, so it's perfect really. Just more expensive than getting just a stand.

Took me from getting really sick after 15 minutes into certain games, to running around RE feeling maybe slightly unsettled after a few hours. I never believed in stuff like this, but it's worth the 6 dollar gamble if you experience any level of motion sickness. Just follow the instuctions.

The move controllers with just buttons (these) are the ones that work with PSVR. You can either use the versions released with PS3 or newer updated ones for PS4: the only difference is that the newer version has longer battery life and uses micro usb to charge instead of mini usb. You'll want two move controllers as most games that require them require one for each hand.

The move controller with a thumbstick (this) is the navigation controller. It is unused in all currently released PSVR games and likely will not be used in the future as it cannot be tracked in VR by the camera. One game has been announced to support it, but even then people are skeptical as to whether that info is correct.

I got mine on amazon. I bought two used from resellers. Even came with prime shipping. $19.99 each.

I'm using the Collective Minds stand for my PSVR.

I've got the MDW Retractable Cable Lanyards.

The AIM Stock is Paynis' design on Thingiverse.

I used 3DHubs to have someone print it for me (just download the project from Thingiverse, upload to 3DHubs and get some quotes).

And lastly, the chair is the LEVL Gaming Alpha Series M.

Link it without the referral code and it will get approved.

fyi, tag= in an amazon link means it is a refferal, which are banned on reddit and will tag your account as a spam account if you use them too often.

  1. You can look behind yourself more often than not. That's been the source of most of my "Woah" moments. It really helps sell the sense that you're in the game's world. Some games will give you some text behind you telling you to turn around and face the camera.

  2. I was a bit concerned about it just looking like a tiny screen up close, but I didn't realize there were lenses inside the headset. Everything tends to feel proper as far as proportions go. At worst, it's like looking at a movie theatre screen, but usually you're able to forget there's even a screen in front of your eyes.

  3. I really don't use the ear buds often. I find the sound from the TV to be more than enough, though I did see these and they seem to review well (Amazon Canada)

Also, there are a lot of pieces to keep charged if you're picking up all the controllers and everything, and you might be concerned about the lenses getting scuffed over time, so I'd recommend picking up a stand whenever it's convenient.

I'm seeing conflicting reports of the price drop's time of enactment. Some saying it's already live and others saying it begins 3/29. Looking at Amazon now and the skyrim bundle is $399 (current sale price reduced from $449). When this goes live, will the skyrim bundle go down to $299?

u/Loudymod · 1 pointr/PSVR
