That case looks great! Looks like a nice solution to have everything contained in 1 spot. I like to make my PSVR mobile, so I can share it as much as possible. I came up with a different but more expensive solution.

Have you ever heard of the Gaems cases? They are cases with a built in 15.5 -19'' screen that you can carry your console and controllers in. They make your PSVR completely mobile and ready to play anywhere.

There are two main versions of the case. The sentry has a 15.5'' screen and gets the job done well. It goes on sale often at Amazon for $179 while the regular price is $199.

The vanguard is more robust and has a 19 inch screen but rarely gets discounted. $349 is a big step up in price and it's main reason for existing was to fit an Xbox one comfortably. Here is everything I use in my set up if you're interested.

Gaems vanguard: 19 inch screen version

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00H0R9DSG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747244&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gaems&dpPl=1&dpID=31SkqJCR2cL&ref=plSrch

Gaems sentry: 15.5 Inch screen:

Psvr travel case: there are cheaper alternatives but I have this one and it's great.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LB4KJ90/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747548&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=psvr+case&dpPl=1&dpID=41iSXH1b7QL&ref=plSrch

AC 2 to 1 tail plug: this is great because in some rooms you might not have room to plug everything into a single outlet. This gives you 2 outlets with 1 plug. The psvr, ps4, and screen all need to be plugged in so this makes it a bit easier to accomplish.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000QZ6KBC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747673&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ac+2+to+1&dpPl=1&dpID=512TfCxLsfL&ref=plSrch

Extra ac power cord for the ps4: not needed but one less thing to route and hook up at home.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0017UCTX8/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747983&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=polarized+ac+power+cord&dpPl=1&dpID=41243qPxqsL&ref=plSrch

Extra ps4 camera: again not needed but helpful to leave one in the psvr carrying case. They go on sale often at Amazon for $39.99

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LW1OM63/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485748117&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ps4+camera

Gaems PGE battle bag: not needed at all but I love this thing. Designed to fit all the cases and keeps them from getting dinged up. Also has a Very large pouch on the side for more storage. The AIM controller actually fits nicely here.

https://gaemspge.com/store/pge-battle-bag.html

Also worth picking up would be some kind of car visor or slim cd traveling case to hold 24 or so of your favorite games. You can place it under neath the straps that secure the console just fine.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000CAO7XO/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1485753365&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=cd+visor&dpPl=1&dpID=41MAD8WSA1L&ref=plSrch

Lastly, some form of luggage locks. I've never had a problem with the case popping open, but I've also never risked it. I have these combo locks and they work great.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01J3U7PDC/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This has really made the vr much easier to lug around for me and awesome way to share it with people.

u/Replect · 6 pointsr/PSVR

It's not like PSVR isn't already giving me a hard time with drift, shift/swimming since launch, but yesterday the "being sick of it" feeling reached a new high. You all know the story about dust and risking scratches, but well...

Yesterday after cleaning my lenses with these 2 tools

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00017LSPI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00IPKRY56/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought specifically for the PSVR thinking I do the best for it, I had to realize that the space between the lenses and the case seems easily to be big enough to have dust blown BEHIND the lenses.

That lenspen has carbon particles which should help to clean the lenses better, though after cleaning a few of such carbon particles end up on the lenses which I obviously want to get rid of afterwards, so I've blown them away as usual with the blower just to realize that dust and/or those carbon particles somehow ended up on the other side of the lenses, one also sitting now on the screen as you can see on the picture taken from the right lense.

So, while I would have thought that the actual Lenspen from the so called company should be the better one, I'm certainly going to only use that one going forward

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00NVDJ88S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

since its not leaving any particles on the lenses, even though it doesn't get rid of grease spots as easy as the other one.

And for you guys, whatever you use to clean your lenses, be very careful of how you get rid of that dust and especially if you also use a lenspen that regularly leaves a rest of carbon particles or such on them, be not just warned related to scratches! Dust behind the lenses is kind of game over as well!

I ordered this one. I will admit my first impression when I got it was it seemed like semi-cheap Chinese materials for what is a pretty high price. However, I do really like it now. It does fit everything, including a few extras and game discs, very nicely. It is just firm enough to feel protective, and it makes carting everything needed for the VR setup easy. They elastic that holds the PS4 seems a little weak (especially for the heavy pro, but once closed, it's great. This is not a hard bag you could say check at the airport, but it is very useful and convenient to pack up the PS4 and PSVR in the car to take to friends and family. In the end, I'm satisfied with it, and haven't seen any other case that holds BOTH the PS4 and PSVR yet that I would consider better (granted, I haven't done exhaustive searches):

As an aside, as I was searching my orders to find that link above, I noticed this one too, which wasn't available when I got mine. Doesn't look bad and it's 10 cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Travel-PlayStation-Launch-Console-Hermitshell-4/dp/B01MRWTHEY

Ok cool :) Will take a look and find my Lenspen. They are essential!

Ok found it:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenspen-Elite-Cleaning-Pen-Lens/dp/B00IPKRY56/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1481378888&sr=8-2&keywords=lenspen

Absolutely essential. They're f'ing amazing.

Ok you're sorted!!! :)

Just a tip for the Lenspen:

Use the brush first. Then the pad until the lenses are super clean. Then use the brush again because the Lenspen can leave a residue when you first start using it.

u/IceBreak · 22 pointsr/PSVR

I used the Pyle Compact Base Black Microphone Stand:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PAW6AU/

I'm not the first to do this and I've seen others do similar projects but all the stands were discontinued and I couldn't find one that would fit through the holes in the camera stand. Luckily, it didn't matter as this should work for all stands that you can unscrew the top off of. I also wanted one with as low of a profile as possible so I could put it on the same shelf as the soundbar. It...barely fits as the base is closer to 9.75 inches as opposed to the 9.25 advertised. It has nice rubber bumps you attach at the bottom to prevent scratches.

I have my camera off center because that's the couch's center and, unlike PS3 move games, it doesn't matter where the camera is really. I played Sparc and Astrobot at the high height. Sparc was fantastic. Astrobot was different in the challenge mode with the ropes (#4) as everything was angled differently. Lowering it back to standard height is all that's needed to fix that. If there's any other questions, feel free to ask.

Also, if you're doing this, be mindful of you camera cable length. If I were to go much higher, I'd have to move my PS4 up to be able to have enough length.

u/gingerblz · 3 pointsr/PSVR

I can very much appreciate the sentiment of wanting to clean and re-use the cloths. However, one of the best ways to scratch a lens is to clean it with a cloth with particle contaminates. IMO, it's just not worth the risk. I picked up a 6 pack of cloths on Amazon for a few dollars. I'm on my second cloth, and just keep the old ones around for cleaning cheap (entirely replaceable) reading glasses, and save the fresh ones for my VR lenses.

This is what I use specifically: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050R67U0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/GrumpyAdultman · 1 pointr/PSVR

You'll hate this idea, but I recommend a microphone stand like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PAW6AU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You just use some cable ties to attach it to that. Then you can place the camera anywhere in the room, at any height you need. Some games are better with the camera up high and far, some are better low and close. This will let you always have the perfect placement.

Combine that with the extension cable for the PS Camera. This way, you can unplug the camera cable from the extension piece and put the stand/camera away somewhere when you're not using it. If I'm playing a lot of VR, I just put the stand/camera off to the side of my TV.

u/CruftForce7 · 1 pointr/PSVR

I've tried a bunch of different headphones, but the ones I end up using the most often are Koss KSC75's. They only cost about $15 on Amazon, and the sound quality is amazing for the price--seriously, these things are a huge step up from the stock earbuds, and sound better than any headphones I've heard that cost less than $80. They are open air, though, which isn't great for immersion if you're playing in a room where there's a lot of background noise.

When I want to shut out external noise, I use Etymotic hf3's (about $120), which are in-ear monitors. Over-the-ear headphones feel weird to me when using the PSVR, mainly because of the additional bulk.

u/pocketmnky · 1 pointr/PSVR

I use a boom mic head on my straight mic stand so I can move the camera closer and further from me as needed. I can get that thing to stretch to well over 8' tall if I need to and I love the fact that I can move it from one side of the room to the other. It's great for racing wheel setups because you can bring it low and push the camera in right in front of your face if you want.

Also, I use zip ties.

u/Dinghydoggy · 1 pointr/PSVR

Picked up the Plantronics RIG 4VR and I love it. They're not expensive, and the design is perfect for the PSVR. Plus no charging needed. :)

u/GobBluth19 · 1 pointr/PSVR

recently got these to use instead of the gold's i'd been using

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006B486K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

much better not worrying about breaking the golds, and yeah you get a lot better cooling and airflow with them

u/blackguy102 · 1 pointr/PSVR

I guess I will pick it up then lol I saw it at Best buy the other day and also here is the link for it. Maybe it just became a psvr game?
https://www.amazon.com/RIGS-Mechanized-Combat-League-PlayStation-4/dp/B01I5S8V72?th=1

u/OtakuD · 2 pointsr/PSVR

Looks like $80 new in US? Not sure of your region, I got mine for $60 marked down in a store, you can also try second hand places :)

u/nedaname · 1 pointr/PSVR

I got a usb hub. Was skeptic at first.. but I like it.
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Ultra-Slim-4-Port-Data/dp/B00XMD7KPU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1484075936&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=usb+hub&psc=1

The only issue, the usb cable is too short. I got an extension cable for $2.

I have the VR unit plugged into, the two moves controller and one cable for the PS controller. Leaving one usb port on the console free.

u/Jerz_Kid · 1 pointr/PSVR

Amazon has new move controllers for $26 each. Free one-day delivery if you're a prime member. I picked these up as I was only able to secure the headset and not the launch bundle.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072HYRNK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, Target has the PS4 camera for $41.

http://www.target.com/p/playstation-4-camera-playstation-4/-/A-14632007?lnk=abtest_searchpdp_1

u/DoublePlusGoodGames · 1 pointr/PSVR

Even if you have to purchase a new camera (~$50), that price point is going to be hard to beat.

Like everyone else has said in this thread, "if it all works properly, that's a great deal".

u/doone128 · 1 pointr/PSVR

Ok. I'm not convinced, but I've ordered 2 cables to try and resolve this issue. Gotta be worth a try I suppose. I'll report back at some point during the next week.

1.5M HDMI High Speed Cable v2.0/1.4a 18Gbps 3D TV 2160p PS4 SKY HD 4K Ultra HD Ethernet Audio Return Virgin BT PC Laptop Nylon Braided- IBRA LUXURY GOLD https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JVBBJHC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.uISybJ2YYX9D

Someone told me to use these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JVBBJHC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've ordered them, had one blackout, thought that those didn't fixed this issue but after that one, eveything is ok for like three weeks now. Fingers crossed.

u/Ivanka_Trumpalot · 1 pointr/PSVR

So if I have my PSVR hooked up, but I'm playing a game without the headset and just one a regular TV, how do I go about using the headphones below for chatting in a game like GTA?

https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Gold-Wireless-Stereo-Headset-Black/dp/B00HVBPRUO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1498231671&sr=8-4&keywords=ps4+headset

u/OhHaiMe · 1 pointr/PSVR

Koss KSC75 $15 , sound great, super comfortable and with a bit of tape you can attach them to the headset like Mantis.
https://www.amazon.com/Koss-KSC75-Portable-Stereophone-Headphones/dp/B0006B486K

u/TheDon2016 · 3 pointsr/PSVR

As mentioned you can't do 3D sound wirelessly

I like the Playstation Gold headset. It's incredibly comfortable and cheap. Noise canceling too. The sound is excellent, but then again I'm not an audiophile.

https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Gold-Wireless-Stereo-Headset-Black/dp/B00HVBPRUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486143865&sr=8-1&keywords=playstation+gold

https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-RIG-4VR-Headset-Playstation-4/dp/B01LYPEQE2

These are made for PSVR. Not too expensive, more flexible so they fit over the headset, and 2 separate cords (one longer for regular use and one shorter for VR use). I enjoy them a lot.

u/jimbonics · 1 pointr/PSVR

Damn, those cost as much as the PSVR unit!

I'm using these and they do a pretty good job of immersing you without completely cutting you off from the real world.

u/deebee_13 · 12 pointsr/PSVR

Here you go: https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Replacement-Light-Shield-playstation-4/dp/B07645VNXW ships to the UK as well. I'd contact Sony support though, read about them being able to supply replacements too.

u/merlinrising · 8 pointsr/PSVR

Amazon Prime. They had some killer deals.

I saved money not getting the game bundle (ill get skyrim used later) and bought superhot vr and got rush of blood when it was free. Ill be happy with those for a dash.

Didn't realise you were in the UK, I would have given you a link. The ones you suggest look fine, in fact they look just like [the ones I got](1.5M HDMI High Speed Cable v2.0/1.4a 18Gbps 3D TV 2160p PS4 SKY HD 4K Ultra HD Ethernet Audio Return Virgin BT PC Laptop Nylon Braided- IBRA LUXURY GO https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JVBBJHC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_IxORGRwfkivZj) with a different name...

It uses a microcarbon cleaning compound to clean as opposed to just the cloth.
I got this one, seems decent enough.

$28 each on Amazon in bulk packaging

EDIT: Appears these don't include the mini USB cable (standard charging cable from PS3 era).

You can also get them for $30 each at Gamestop.

EDIT 2: Certified Refurbs are $30, still no cable, but comes with a 90 day warranty. Might be worth it.

IDK how well everything would actually fit, or how secure it would all be, but there is this: Link

Are you sure? Every picture shows the current generation camera. Not the one that launches on Sept. 27th (link to new camera below)

u/james26685 · 1 pointr/PSVR

Fold up the cleaning cloth that came with it into a rectangle and pack it in over the lenses when not in use. This protects from dust scratches and sunlight, costs you nothing (you should have gotten the cloth with your unit). Or you can order nicer larger ones

u/blueberry-yum-yum · 2 pointsr/PSVR

https://www.amazon.ca/LENSPEN-NLP-1-LensPen/dp/B007G5NNOW

I use this to clean the lenses, brush off dust first with the pen

then use the carbon side to wipe the lens clean. gets it spotless :D

edit: i too wear glasses, dunno where all the oil comes from :|

u/Dan0956 · 1 pointr/PSVR

Yep I saw that one and this one. It does seem you brush it first then give it a wipe with the flat bit. People seem to say this is better than the blue cloth I am using

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenspen-NLP1-New-OriginalÂ/dp/B007G5NNOW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487331141&sr=8-3&keywords=Lens+pen

u/ArchAngel713 · 2 pointsr/PSVR

Yesir. The PS Gold can only achieve 3D when connected via the 3.5mm jack. As for the reasons, the 3D audio is processed by the PSVR breakout box. If you don't mind spending the extra cash you might as well get the new platinum headphones, which is the follow up to the gold headphones Link

u/Rockah · 1 pointr/PSVR

Yeah that sucks dude. I was extremely lucky in that my brother gave me all his old ps3 stuff and he just happened to have move controllers, so I didn't have to worry about sourcing them.

I just checked a bunch of online retailers and couldn't see them, but amazon does https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Move-Motion-Controllers-Pack-4/dp/B01LD7MR2C/ref=dp_ob_title_vg - you can probably find used/refurbed ones on there too, and they ship to aus. Not the best price, but probably less than $200

u/kysomyral · 1 pointr/PSVR

I'm using the Playstation Gold headset (wired, of course) and it's really comfortable. I've heard the hinges can weaken over time, though, so that's something to consider.

u/KALT1803 · 2 pointsr/PSVR

Guess not, but Battlefront is rather cheap:

https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Battlefront-Standard-PlayStation-4/dp/B00W8FYFBA

You probably can also get it even cheaper if you buy a used game. :D

u/Spicerunner90 · 1 pointr/PSVR

It’s made for camera lenses so haven’t tried it on glasses and it’s kinda dome shaped cleaning end so don’t think phones would work. LensPen NLP-1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007G5NNOW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VLBUCb254GQH0

I think some 2D games will be implementing it if there aren't some already, the Amazon page includes 3D audio as a feature of the headset. I'm not positive how it would work either, but it's listed.

Not sure about the ones you're asking about, but I did buy the Mantis and did not their sound or fit. While they say the Mantis are light, I felt they were heavy and they were uncomfortable against my ears. I prefer the Plantronics RIG VR headset

u/alxbyjn · 2 pointsr/PSVR

I use [this one](Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Ultra Slim Data Hub for Mac, PC, USB Flash Drives and Other Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XMD7KPU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_b31.yb19SGTT7) and have the PU plugged in to it with no issues whatsoever.

u/Naulty85 · 1 pointr/PSVR

I’m actually going to have my 10to son in charge of it.

I’m having a shirt made for him that says “master of games.” He’s been thoroughly trained on how to use the VR, as well as which games to suspend the cable and which to lay it on the ground. I have a lens cleaning pen that we use for the lenses(for some reason people always want to touch the damn lenses) and I was thinking about grabbing napkins for sweat on the light shield. Also ordered one of these in anticipation of it being damaged.

u/Mind_tricK · 1 pointr/PSVR

It's just a video pass-through at that point, no worries.

You could always invest in a hub, but I game from near my computer so if I really need to charge a dual shock I just jack in to my PC.

If you sit remotely near an outlet you could always charge with a cell phone charger.
