Here's what I do...I play on PC...don't play on console at all, but, if you're open to trying and have the $$$ to spare, I really, really love this.
I use a gamepad. I've used the Logitech G13 though I now use the Razer Orbweaver. Both work. With this, I set up movement to the thumb stick/pad...you can only move in one direction at a time, so if you only have to use one finger (thumb) to move, it's more efficient, right? I then assign the keypad buttons to abilities, ability leveling, and relic use (among other things...I assign keys based on where the left hand would sit on a traditional keyboard to make VGS functions easier).
Means I can move while using abilities...never understood why people would just settle for using # keys for abilities, which means you can't move in some directions at the same time.
As for the mouse, any should be fine, but since the keypad is limited in # of buttons, I currently use a Razer Naga Epic. I use left and right scroll wheel clicks for my consumables, and the thumb buttons as right-side keyboard buttons. Of course, you can program however you'd like.
This setup is also awesome for FPS and other games. It definitely takes a while to get used to it, but now it's second nature to me, and totally worth it.
I kind of celebrate Christmas but I still don't see why that means I should act jolly. At xmas I spend time with my family and get joke gifts for my friends (like extra small condoms), but that doesn't have any impact on how I act. Don't understand the thought process behind how people should suddenly have a big ol' smile and be shitting rainbows just because it's December or whatever.
Sticking to specific design principles in code is a recipe for pain. It's easier to adapt to pre-existing style in the case of something like UE3 than it is to adapt UE3 to specific design principles. While it's certainly good to be familiar with common patterns (Design Patterns and Code Complete are two of the more common books I see in this regard), being flexible and ready to adapt to a pre-existing code style is going to be infinitely more useful.
In that situation, you're still going to learn more on the job than in school, and that's hard to avoid.
Yo whatchu mean dawg? dis a cooler lol

Used one before and its quite nice.
I use the Logitech G700 and bind all four of my abilities to the side buttons. The mouse provides for three different profiles, so if you like different sensitivity levels for different games/tasks, that's an option. Can be used wired or wirelessly. And, it's also on sale right now for ~45% off =P
This kind of mic may be for you: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00029MTMQ/
I haven't used it myself but it seems to be rated pretty well, and is quite cheap. I used to have mic you put on your desk but it sucked.
In reply to your original query - We used to do eBook versions of our magazines, and still do for our main magazine (see here). The time:demand ratio was a bit too high for us for other magazines though.
We bought these on sale from Amazon but here is a link :D

PonPon Patch 2: Back 2 tha Pon
What do you mean? Herc already has merchandise out there
Oh believe me, he's a dick. I truly believe that he's the best assassin in the game. Simply because he can so a lot of damage in a short amount of time, heal himself, and slow you with his ult.
I had to learn about him the hard way before I finally played him. I don't often do well with assassins but he's too good. Hastened Katana on him just isn't fair. The only way you leave is if you stun/slow/kill me. Even then, you aren't leaving unscathed, if at all. He's just that damn good
Just figured I'd post this as an alternative:

If you are interested in getting a mouse, I saw these last time i was shopping for a mouse and thought they were a very cool idea. I don't have any experience with them, so I can't say if they help, but they exist.
No hate for the controller though. I played on a touchpad for a very long time, so I understand the hate you might get. Since early in the beta, I've thought about trying to play Smite on a controller. Glad to hear they finally made it possible.
I use the Live Gamer HD.

It might seem a bit pricey, but it's worth the cost to me. When you're recording locally it does all of the work and takes the burden off your CPU. This means that I can record at ultra high quality without incurring any performance issues on my PC. The only negative is that 1080p capture is limited to 30 FPS. I don't really find this to be all that big of an issue, though. 720p and below can all be recorded at 60 FPS.
Software-wise, FRAPS is decent, but if your PC can't handle the burden that recording locally puts on it then you're going to either need to upgrade your PC or grab a capture card to do the recording/encoding.
Normally I don't join in with this argument, but Microsoft proved cross-platform action games to be a complete failure when they released Shadowrun back in 2007 ( http://www.amazon.com/Shadowrun-PC/dp/B000PHNW3A )
They even gimped PC users (turn rate was capped) and gave console users auto-aim. The game spiraled out of control, and ultimately died as quick as it was released.
(just an info post).
