The "penny trick" (and the screw for that matter) is a really bad idea for the long term care of records. It adds an additional 1.5 grams to an already (overly) heavily weighted tonearm. Adding the penny will literally grind away the audio information out of the record. Your model of turntable is already doing this at an accelerated rate due to it's heavy stock tracking force. Putting the penny on there is damaging the record as you play it.
The solution is to upgrade your turntable. Of course the sky's the limit on models, but if you're on a budget and want a turntable that will be good for the long term care of your records, I would recommend the Crosley C100. Your local shop may carry one, or you can get it at Amazon (amongst other retailers):
https://www.amazon.com/Crosley-C100A-SI-Turntable-Adjustable-Counterweight/dp/B016OVYIK6
It routinely drops in price to the $130-140 range. You can set a camelcamelcamel.com alert to tell you when it does that.
In addition to better long term care of your records, you will notice a substantial upgrade in audio quality, especially considering your speakers.
I finally bought a 15-feet USB cable to string from my turntable to the computer in order to “rip” them onto my hard drive and transfer to my phone.
I previously had this but it’s gone missing .... it’s about 10 times as expensive as the USB solution, but a great alternative if your turntable isn’t USB friendly.
Like these? Or the ones with paper sleeves but HDPE liners? I love these things!

well why is amazon claiming to sell a 2 LP version for 24 bucks

If amazon is lying (and they really could be). i can retract that part... but i still feel like the pricing should be more in the way of say 26-29 dollars, seeing as compared to other VMP pressings this is a very high press and colored vinyl shouldn't cost that much more than a standard black LP (from 1 to 5 dollars if places like rough trade can say anything)
Also available from Rough Trade - limited to 500 blue (if color matters to you): https://www.roughtrade.com/us/yusef-lateef/eastern-sounds-rudy-van-gelder-remasters/lp-plus?channable=a18786.MTg2MDky&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwb3rBRDrARIsALR3Xead8-QRS17kAxMfcrEc_DAal9VfHRW7bInQqedG4i1BHCYA78Cr_boaAkpaEALw_wcB
The 2011 OJC pressing supposedly sounds great and is available at Amazon for $21.98: https://www.amazon.com/Eastern-Sounds-Vinyl-Yusef-Lateef/dp/B0000296W2/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2UBCPC7KSQWYF&keywords=yusef+lateef+eastern+sounds&qid=1567607979&s=gateway&sprefix=lateef+eas%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-2
Yeah discogs or amazon is a good bet for now.

I'm honestly not. I think exclusive releases and re-issues like Nat Turner Rebellion, and dozens and dozens more VMP has released, are far more important and worth worrying about than a colored version of a record I can pick up anywhere
Turntable is a Fluance RT81. I have the same one and love it. Plus it has an auto stop feature which comes in handy for my home life situation.
Fluance RT81
You can get this for $12.98 on Amazon right now, lol.
I'm using these. They even fit gatefolds/doubles, although some are a bit tight.

Hey there. Not really limited pressing. Just a new reissue. Still available on Amazon -- https://www.amazon.com/Feels-Animal-Collective/dp/B07HC435MQ/ref=tmm_vnl_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
So...is there something wrong with the ABC press? I have it, sounds great. Gatefold jacket, too. Only $16 and I can confirm the black vinyl matches the mock-up 😜: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MF8QFV0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4PN2DbXG6KSNQ
I never got mine but my local shop had one so I asked for a refund. Also, they're back in stock here. Only 9 left...
Amazon has it for 15 bucks at the moment. Not pink, or detail that VMP gave their version, but the option is still there.
[I use these] (https://www.amazon.com/MOBILE-FIDELITY-SOUND-INNER-SLEEVES/dp/B001LQSFKY/ref=bmx_2/133-9909319-0063620?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001LQSFKY&pd_rd_r=4bb903b3-152d-45bc-98f9-ebf7f3c228e6&pd_rd_w=jB28u&pd_rd_wg=XEsFa&pf_rd_p=9cba9e23-7e0e-412e-8134-a7a7ffc7a16e&pf_rd_r=7CF2NQZ91B29SYA8E00D&psc=1&refRID=7CF2NQZ91B29SYA8E00D)
It's on amazon, for now
noticed white vinyl version available:https://www.amazon.ca/Bella-Session-vinyl-square-poster/dp/B07H5VTT6T/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541374122&sr=8-1&keywords=bauhaus+vinyl&dpID=51Dasg2omrL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Yup.

What's the difference between the March 21, 1960 version and the March 24, 1960?
I can think of one complaint about this album.
So this is less than $17 on Amazon, and for an international customer I am basically paying $40 to have this sent to Australia. Apparently with no sonic upgrade, just different colour/packaging...
Time to pick over the same 20 disappointing swaps again, I guess.
