I've used both the easy valve and the solid valve and I much prefer the easy valve. There are a few factors to consider, like the solid valve allowing for more material in the chambers and the easy valve being easier to clean. But if we're looking at just bag replacement, replacing bags on the easy valve is a cinch particularly since they've added the bag adapter which makes switching bags even simpler.

As for bag recommendations, I've been using True Liberty Bags. As someone else mentioned, they make significantly less noise that the standard Storz & Bickel bags. Other than that, there are minimal differences. For example the Storz & Bickel bags are longer and thinner while the True Liberty turkey bags are shorter and wider. From my experience, both bag types have similar durability and need semi-regular replacement, depending on frequency of use. I'm a daily user and I probably go through a bag every 1-3 months.

Last I checked, Storz & Bickel bags cost $10 per while the turkey bags I linked go for about $1 per. Once you switch the bag out once you'll realize how simple it is and the savings ought to be worth it for most users. As a final tip, I've read others mention the turkey bags go on sale right after Thanksgiving. Stock up!

SharpStone 2.0

I grind upside down, removing the kief tray first if it has anything in it to prevent it spilling back through the screen. I grind inverted until it is very fine, almost like powder that falls through the capsule openings. I exclusively use the fine screen sets in solid and easy valve. Vapor is better and more even use.

Downside is that the grinder gets gummed up immediately. Can only go 2 or 3 times before an iso bath. I own 7 grinders and rotate which one I am using to save the blades. This is one of my newer ones, but the two SharpStone 1.0 versions were my favorites until this.

Kozo Grinder 2.0

Honorable mention for this one. It is weird, but works, and is easy to use if you have difficulty with your hands, arthritis, etc.

Bought on Amazon.

Has a pocket for manual in the lid, semi-hard case. Absolutely perfect fit for the cano and supplies.

Edit: also has a shoulder strap.

Wemo plug. I have one and not only can I tell it to turn on and off once every half hour, but I can also turn on my volcano from work, or at a certain time like when i'm coming home from work.

Sound like it might be the thermostat connection. DIY fix.

You can buy a Torx t8 "security" screwdriver for about $3 off amazon.

So this exact thing on my knock-off is stripped. That disc is threaded and should screw back on. If it has been ripped off, chances are that threading is gone. What i did is apply a small ring of 550° heat resistant adhesive (glue). I bought this silicone based adhesive off Amazon and it cured in a matter of minutes. The glue was very inexpensive and I believe it was designed for gluing parts of a smoker back together.

I applied a thin-film with a toothpick, making sure to use just enough of the yucky-smelling adhesive around that threaded piece. The first time i did it, I hardly used any and that sucker didn't move for 7 months. Popped off once and this time i used the product a bit better.

Get this and you can turn the volcano off and on from your phone. I use this to turn it on for a preheat so it's ready when I get upstairs
