Angle grinder is best, but yhou can use a drill with a cutting disc that looks like this. HOWEVER, don't use a disc like I linked to, you want a cutting disk, and you cut straight down the front of the safe to cut the hinges off. Ask homedepot what the best disc is...They'll know... It will take some time, and make sure you have water on hand in case the sparks get smoky in the dust.

Source, I lost my combo and sentry sent it to me....Recently my ex took a sledge to it and got my booty.....

HOWEVER, the odds are REALLY slim that anything inside it is dangerous, but it was pretty well hidden, so it could be ANYTHING. You should be careful. Like I said earlier, if you have the Serial Number, send it to sentry, these are the instructions. call ahead to make sure they even HAVE combos for that SN....Otherwise you'll be wasting your time.....If you are a member of AAA they might notarize your letter for free...

I don't have a stake in this game. I do think it's interesting that the company directly refutes your assertion:

WD-40 and Bikes

Myth: WD-40 Multi-Use Product should not be used on bike chains.

Fact: While WD-40 Multi-Use Product it is not a grease, it is
formulated with strong lubricating oils and other ingredients,
and is a terrific product to use for bike maintenance. It does
not attract dirt or moisture to metal surfaces – just be sure to
wipe off any excess WD-40 Multi-Use Product before riding.

For long-term lubrication and other specialized bicycle
maintenance needs, check out WD-40® BIKE. Developed specifically
for cyclists and mechanics, this high-performance line of bicycle care
products is sure to become a mainstay in the toolboxes of bike
mechanics for decades.

I also think it's weird that after saying it's fine to use on bike chains, assuming you wipe off excess, they've got something that's specifically designed for bikes - which either was marketed because it's actually better for bicycling purposes, or was released due to bike shops instructing people not to use it for this purpose.

Personally, I prefer wax-based chain products on my (motor)bike. If wax-based isn't handy, multi-use teflon'll do.

There are guys that use WD-40 on their motorcycle chains exclusively, and swear by it.

Me, too, and I still am. In 1977 my art teacher shared with us the most common book about his tomb, The Treasures of Tutankhamun, and I was enchanted. That was the year a bunch of the treasures toured, but the closest museum was too far away and my parents didn't have the money for us to go. In 2006 some other items toured, and I did get to see that.

I own a boatload of books and collect Egyptian themed items, but I am very choosy. My best item is a prop throne from the old movie the Ten Commandments. It's heavy, beautifully made, and nearly identical to the Tutankhamun throne found in the tomb. The hieroglyphics and the front and back are even all the same.

I went to Egypt in 1996 and am so sad that the political situation may insure I never get to go back.

I'm a fairly new subscriber to this sub and you might have already answered this in a previous post, but I didn't see it right off...

Are you trying every number, or are you skipping every other number or something? Do you have an idea of what kind of precision/tolerances the combination pins have?

Just finished listening to Feynman's book where he describes cracking safes and only needing to test every 5th number... An 80% decrease is pretty significant if you are brute-forcing every possible combination. It looks like that is how the robot in a YouTube video you linked a while back works.

Buck 110 by the look of it!
Great, great knife.

They did, but I believe they were only made to operate scsi peripherals (scanners and such). Your best bet would be to find a desktop with a regular PCI slot and install scsi card.

It's not that hard or expensive:

There are plenty of choices. Ammo cans are a great option, but after years of Geocaching, I've even seen those fail sometimes. My suggestion, if you want to bury it and keep the moisture from damaging the contents would be different chambers. Basically put a box in a bigger box. If you want to keep it small, get an ammo can and a Lock & Lock or Pelican case that will fit inside the ammo can. Put your treasure into the small box and stick that into the ammo can. For best assurance, I'd actually suspend the smaller box inside the ammo can with some expanding foam. If you want to go bigger, suspend the ammo can in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid secured on it (also with foam).

A common mistake that people make in Geocaching is to put the contents of the cache (specifically the log book) inside a cheap plastic bag. After moisture gets to the log, and inside the bag, it takes forever for it to leave. If you put a smaller box inside a larger box with foam all around, moisture will not be able to get to the treasure inside.

Grab a bunch of Saflips. They're archival quality and contain no chemicals that will harm your coins, like PVC. I store mine in slab boxes.

For your banknotes, I'd highly recommend one of these binders. It'll hold about 45 notes before it gets too full. I comes with 20 sleeves and you can buy refill packs of 10 sleeves.

If you want to try and fill a binder for each of your coin types, I would highly recommend Dansco albums.

Also, grab a copy of the 2017 Red Book. It's the standard coin guide for American coins. Also available on iBooks.

Aww, crap. I read and thought of it wrong. I was thinking of Gordon Korman's book, "Swindle". It's a children's book that tells the story of a kid who found a valuable baseball card. When a collector gives him a few bucks for the card worth thousands, the kid has to go and steal it back. It's a pretty fun read.

The sides are divide by parts of the inch. In your picture, the top is tenths of an inch; the bottom is 50ths of an inch. the other sides will say 20 30 40 and 60. This was made sometime before the marks were changed after German reunification in 1990. When the marks changed depends on the company. Source: I have both the engineer and architect scales from Staedtler from around 1991 and they are marked W. Germany. See a similar item here

Well there's this, but I don't think the DNA would last long.

It's likely an ice chipper. I have a similar one in my kitchen, and use it to break apart frozen food items.

Apparently.

This pyrite is selling for $4.95 for 2 ounces, which is $39.60/lb. Go to any metal recycling facility and try to get $39.60/lb for anything.

These safes are pure crap and act better as a boat anchor than a reliable way to store belongings. Take a crowbar to it now. If the solenoid isn't already dead, it will be eventually and you'll bust it open then.

Source - mine died and I busted it to pieces. See also: http://www.amazon.com/Sentry-Safe-Electronic-FIRE-SAFE-DS3607/product-reviews/B000G9U0OG (different model, same problems)

From googling it appears to be an amplifier used to boost cable/internet signals. His version there appears to be jerry rigged, appears maybe he lost the original plug for it and made this work? Here's an Amazon listing for a similar one that shows it comes with a the plug. Also, you're in the wrong sub. You wanted /r/whatisthisthing

This is what I use when my hands get really bad. Gotta just keep slathering regularly until they are repaired. After that use something milder regularly on a preventative basis.
