Since it sounds like you're gonna open them, buying Japan imports from Amazon is your best solution in most cases. Robin and Lucina are impossible to find in US stores, but their Japan imports on Amazon are $17.56 and $18.00 respectively. Ike was restocked in GameStop, so you could call a few local GameStops and see if any have one left. Otherwise, Japan import on him is $15.11. Marth would be cheapest to get from Best Buy. If any local ones have him left, you can get him in-store to save the shipping cost, but he's still available online at MSRP if you don't have a Best Buy nearby. Shulk is an odd one... he was restocked at GameStop, Best Buy, and Toys R Us. You can use the in-store locator to find one in a nearby GameStop or Best Buy, you can call Toys R Us and ask if they have any left (I can't find his page on their site anymore), or in a worst case situation a Japan import of Shulk is $13.99 on Amazon (TRU's MSRP). Remember that if you have Amazon Prime, all the prices I listed are Prime eligible. Otherwise, $35 purchases get free shipping (so Robin + Lucina off of Amazon would net you free shipping). Links to all of what I mentioned are below. Roy is also available at GameStop online, but it hasn't been confirmed yet if he'll be compatible with Fire Emblem Fates or not so I left him out of the list below.

As for online, you can always purchase a Gift Card in-store for online purchases in-case you don't have any Debit/Credit cards or PayPal.

Example: Go to a store that carries Amazon Gift Cards, purchase a $20~$25 Amazon Gift Card, make a Amazon account using your E-Mail, go to: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y074K3M/ add it to your cart, and on checkout simply use your Amazon Gift Card as the payment method by entering the card in under "Add a gift card or promotion code". It's about $16 free shipping from Japan, or you can get one fulfilled by Amazon for a few dollar shipping.

Echoing the Toys R Us in-store option. The closest one to me has about 4-5 on pegs for MSRP.

If you can't luck out finding one, there's always the option to grab a JP version for a slight markup from Amazon. It's $10 more expensive than the US version should be, but it's also $10 cheaper than the US version is currently going for on Amazon.

Unless you live someplace pretty rural, I think you'll have some luck if you call / drive around to a few TRU's. :)

edit: I just took a look at some of the thid-party sellers of the JP version, and there are a few with over 700 ratings selling it for $30ish with shipping, which would work out to a $5 markup over US MSRP. Downside is that it'll ship from Japan and might take a few weeks, while the $35 prime version is 2-day (as you'd expect)

Read the Condition tab on all of them. Even if you choose USA, a lot of them specify EU or JP. They explicitly mention another region, yet they all still sell them in the USA tab. It happens across every amiibo on 3rd party Amazon.

I just paid $16.95 for each, which is cheaper than it was when I bought one a little over a year ago (at $18.95, but only fulfilled by Amazon sold by someone else) though more expensive than when I bought the first 2 two years ago at (at $13.30 both sold directly by Amazon).

Don't just click another amiibo's name on the WFT page, though -- that doesn't actually change the URL. Try searching for the amiibo you want by name in the amazon search bar. For example, this URL gets Kirby's:

Note, though, that the script might trigger for some like the Little Mac that show up as in stock despite the price being waaay over normal. In that case, try setting the line:

That way, it'll check to see if a price of $12.00-$12.99 (the typical price) is there. There are probably better indicators, and you can try to find/parse the price to check ranges, but it's a lot more programming work. The $12. thing is a quick fix.

He's not super rare, so it's possible that you could just walk into Gamestop, Target, Toys R Us, Best Buy, or wherever else you might have nearby and find him.
