Well my situation is rather unique. I have a good friend who was a very prominent rave promoter in the mid 2000s in Baltimore. The first rave I went to was one of his back in 2009. He wrote a memoir about his time as a promoter and I was one of his test readers.

After reading it I was convinced that he should get back into the game and I wanted to help him. We decided the first party should be a release party for his book.

I have a really dope job and I was able to fund it all out of my own pocket. I also found the venue after asking on r/Baltimore for suggestions.

He has a huge social media following and is a legend in the scene so he was able to gather a bunch of really great local DJs to do the show for free. He was also instrumental in promoting online by using his platform and getting the DJs to also promote.

We designed a flyer and printed it out and handed them out at other shows in the weeks leading up to the party.

On the day of the party we went to venue and helped the owners get it set up for the party and building the stage. We then had the sound techs we hired set up the sound systems.

This process took about 3 months start to finish and cost around 3k.

Here is his book.

Try a tyvek coverall suit...Technically they're made for painting but pretty much looks like a hazmat suit. A lab where I used to work actually used then as such to prevent exposure to bloodborn pathogens. Just pair it with some rubber gloves and a gas mask/face shield

EDIT something like this would do. I used one to look like a hazmat suit for this photo. they tend to run on the small side. I'm 6' and skinny as a rail and I need an XL for comfortable range of motion

The El Wire I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005Q5WVBU/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_5CTYDbD9JHQQ7

String:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IGEBSS/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_eFTYDb58P80HW

The El Wire worked pretty well, but when I put it on flashing they flashed at different speeds. Though it did have a neat effect.

Good luck!

While it's not a running belt, but this travel wallet has been our club/festival staple. It can fit cards, money, and a phone in it with no problem. The cord is almost like a wire material which makes it slash proof. You can wear it under your shirt, but we like to loop it through our belts and keep it in our front pockets.

As for the seamless bandanas, The best bet is to ensure they are washed after every use. They will lose some stretch over time, sadly. I personally prefer to use bandanas for that same reason. I can tighten it up if need be, or just wear it on my neck. You can find bandanas of any design or style, but I've been eyeing the Liquid Dreams bandanas for awhile. Bright colors, huge size, and soft material.

http://www.amazon.com/MILITARY-ENERGY-GUM-Military-Caffeine/dp/B000J2LTNQ That stuff is amazing, yawning to OMG I'M AWAKE in 2 min flat. Plus it's cheaper and less sugar :)

Rave as a religion. Here's a book and here's another book written on the subject. Pretty interesting stuff!

For a buck or two at most Walgreens you can find gloves that are exfoliating bath gloves (like these http://amzn.to/aUw3Gx). They're kind of rough (that's the point). My buddy doubted me in the store but was loving them on the roll.

Yes, take a friend with you to Michaels and use the 50% coupon. You can walk in and out and use it multiple times. I don’t recommend buying the “magic string” from there tho. I recommend the elastic one from amazon. It’s stretchy but doesnt snap or fall apart.

What? No pop rocks? For shame :b

Get Menthols if you're getting stoge

Edit: Also, if anyone knows how to do it, eggdrops and resets are fun. So are airplanes and this thing you do when someone clenches their hands together. If you're a chewer, get a binkie or magnesium.

Edit 2: If you want to dish out the money: This. My friend has one and it is epic. Just to put that in to perspective, I have not used the word epic yet this year.

It's those little plastic beads that you iron together, like we used to do in girl scouts. Perler beads, apparently.

pack of 100 for 8 bucks: http://www.amazon.com/LumiStick-Brand-Glowsticks-Bracelets-Colors/dp/B000IZ9N78/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394211685&sr=8-1&keywords=glow+sticks

I always try and buy a pack for shows so I can give out glowsticks and stuff. Amazon makes this very affordable

get a mouth gaurd specifically designed for people with braces. It might look a little weirder than a pacifier but it will work and cover all your brackets.

I've seen those before. Idk if these stay white when they're still, but it's the exact same image you posted.
