Here is a little explanation on a [dry brine] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkaslYP1Ruk&list=PLDmXPQGZmiCGEvCF-XztLdo1boZWkXSqK). Also butter under the skin. The most important thing is to make sure you don't over cook the turkey. So I use a thermometer that allows me to keep an eye on the temp without having to open the oven. Good luck with the turkey

My all time favourties are the Daniel Handler/Lemony Snicket books. The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming was the first, followed by The Lump Of Coal.

For the classic, a beautifully illustrated version of Twas The Night Before Christmas is a must, as is How The Grinch Stole Christmas, of course. :)

If you wanted something really tasteful for a family gathering or formal type event give Christmas Adagios a try. Very good. No songs you need to skip, you could play it straight through. Totally worth the bucks.

My 2.5 year old daughter is watching this at least once a day, so Christmas is still alive and well in our house!

There is! And it's amazing.

It doesn't feel like Christmas without Daffy singing All I want for Christmas is More, More, More or Tweety doing their rendition of I Tawt I Taw Ol' Tanty Claus

As influenced by my kids who do not want to watch Christmas movies every year, but will rewatch these...

  1. Doctor Who's A Christmas Carol

  2. Doctor Who's The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe. It has a wonderful ending where the jaded 900-year-old time traveler visits a couple reoccurring characters at the end (who weren't in the rest of the episode) and realizes he has real friends.

  3. Home Alone

  4. Elf

  5. A Christmas Story

  6. Die Hard. We have the picture book too.

  7. Gremlins

  8. It's A Wonderful Life. Only me, nobody else will watch it again.

In the US, Doctor Who is only available on Amazon Prime without being a standalone rental. Search 'Doctor Who Christmas specials.' Those two episodes stand decently alone without needing background information about the show.
