Thanks so much! I'm glad you appreciated it. I'm not a huge fan of Plato, but I have a deep fondness for The Republic because it's such a complex work. I'm really happy to share! I wish I could point you to a good place to start, but there are so many. I highly recommend A Short History of Philosphy for anyone interested in it. Also, as philosophers go, Plato is mighty accessible; you just have to take your time reading him (taking notes helps, no matter how geeky it is ;-) ). Your right on about the ideas at face value being godawful, though, couldn't pick a better word! If you ever read it, wait till you get to the section on only having the "right" types and kinds of music and poetry...

[](/rtwipride "I thought about making a Twilight cutie mark comment myself, but figured that might be over the top. ::blushes:: Thanks!") Glad you appreciated it! ::Philosophy Brohoof!::

So far it's very good. It is the sequel to one of my favorite books Little Brother, so read that first.

EDIT: I goofed the link.

EDIT 2: You can legally download LB for free from the author's website. Enjoy!

EDIT 3: When done with that, you can download Homeland here.

I was lucky enough to stumble on Logic Gates while reading David Macaulay's amazing "The Way Things Work." I probably learned more from that book than I did in high school (Well, maybe not quite). It certainly was more interesting.

Something about them has always fascinated me though, ever since I saw them in his book. The idea that you can make all these gates, gates that do basic logic operations with electric signals, just by wiring a few transistors (and a diode or two I think?) together blows my mind. And then that you can take those gates and build...computers basically. That's what chips are (mostly at least): piles and piles of gates crammed into an incomprehensibly small space.

The fact that I could buy a cheap pile of transistors, diodes etc from radioshack, wire them together and build a calculator, from scratch, drove me crazy as a kid (in a good way). Still does.

I'll start off with the Guardian of Harmony's Celestia, Chrysalis, Discord, and Nightmare Moon.

For books for young readers the Princess Collection might be good. They're hardcover and about 150~ pages each.

I believe it is 25-30$ for the set or around 7$ for each individual book.

A few other good books are the following:

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Collectible Poster Book has about 40 posters on heavy stock. The downside is they're double sided. About 16$

[My Little Pony: The Wonderbolts Academy Handbook] (https://www.amazon.com/My-Little-Pony-Wonderbolts-Handbook/dp/0316394998) for 13$~.

The Elements of Harmony: Friendship is Magic for 10~$.

For Plushies 4de will be covered. So instead I'll recommend Aurora World's Spike. He's only about 12$

If you're looking for something that's not expensive there is the Friendship is Magic Collections.

They're similar to the blind bags toys and are fairly cheap. Around 3$~ for the figures and 20$ for the playsets. Retailers often put them on sale for 2 for 1 or 20-50% off.

Have you purchased the book? That is the best way to support G-G, aside from direct donations. Plus, you get a book!

I love it when people bring up lucid dreaming, because then I get to tell them to buy this book. Seriously, if you really want to get this done, buy that book. Using it and nothing else I've experienced my first real lucid dream, and have had several more after that.

I don't understand the question. Infectious Lass has always been hot.

That said, the image there is from the last arc of The Legion, which ended in 2004. I-Lass appeared in issues #37 and #38 as a Legion cadet called into service in an emergency; technically she doesn't have a codename at this point so "Infectious Lass" is just a nickname. Those two issues are her only appearances in the Reboot (post-Zero Hour, pre-November 2004) continuity. Gail Simone wrote the story, which began in issue #35, and Drura was totally a badass in it.

Since then, her only appearances anywhere have been in Doctor Thirteen: Architecture and Morality (a backup story in Tales of the Unexpected), which features a group of DC characters from canceled series doing battle against the four writers directing the DCU as a whole at the time in an attempt to keep from being written out of their reality. It's been collected into a trade paperback, and is a pretty awesome story which you should check out. In the later Action Comics storyline, "Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes", which features a Legion whose adult members include Dawnstar and Tellus (the same version still in continuity at present, known generally as the "Retroboot" or "Johnsboot" version), Infectious Lass is mentioned but does not appear. (It's explained that she was thrown into the time stream by a Legion foe, presumably accounting for her role in the Doctor Thirteen story, which has a present-day setting.)

...

Back on topic.

HOLY CRAP AWESOME. Who's that she's tackling? Also do you mind if I try and create a colored version?

I'm from NJ, and I am all too empathetic with your struggle. I started getting into Applejack drinks after reading Imbibe!, which inspired me to quest for lots of more authentic liquors.

Apparently there is an Equestria Girls novel by GM Berrow , who has written some of the MLP books, that is coming out.

Also there are some EQG comics coming out as well.

As far as the TV show, since its the same writers, cast, and everything, personally I would rather they concentrate on pony.

Thank you for asking so nicely. What pool_dolphin said, pretty much. Capitalism is misrepresented by its opponents, and misunderstood by most of its advocates (e.g. conservatives and some libertarians). The same can be said for communism and socialism, which is why I empathized with the socialist above.

This is WAY out there for posting on Reddit, but if you'd like the crash course on my view of capitalism, here's a short nonfiction book. For an even shorter and less convincing version, this page.

I believe it's this one, The Art of My Little Pony: The Movie.
