The entire season 1 dropped on Amazon, you can sign up for a free 30 day trial - https://www.amazon.com/The-Quest-Begins/dp/B01I2BBWQ4/

been waiting for today for a while! can't wait, episode 1 is GREAT

edit: must have prime for the free trial apparently! (if a family member (possibly friend) has prime, they can add you, this works because this is how I have prime!)

The character description is interesting: "an honest but ambitious FBI agent willing to go to any length for his family." If they're going to make Season 3 like Born Again, then I suspect he's going to be a combination of Nick Manolis and Ben Urich (RIP on TV).

A link to the book if anyone else is interested. I'm actually pretty excited to read it, so much nostalgia.

u/mcslackens · 2 pointsr/television

Ah okay. The Vizio doesn't have a tuner, and that's a mandatory requirement to receive and decode OTA/Free TV signals. You'll need both an antenna AND a tuner. I've linked to some above to give you a rough idea of how much it'll cost you. There's no all-in-one devices that I'm aware of.

I can't speak to the quality of the tuner, but that is the same antenna I have connected to my P607, and it works really well for me.

EDIT: I want my banana sticker for coming up with a solution!

Legend. One of my childhood heroes. I was such a big fan I read his book [Games You Can't Lose: A Guide for Suckers.] (https://www.amazon.com/Harry-Andersons-Games-Guide-Suckers/dp/067164727X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523927282&sr=8-1&keywords=harry+anderson+games)

Here's an [Oscar moment between him & John Larroquette on Night Court.] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ93Rg8GhGM)

Dick!

I hope that enough people with money managed to see the quality in the Veronica Mars movie, and will give Rob Thomas the wherewithal to do whatever he's interested in.

The Thousand Dollar Tan Line - the Veronica Mars book was actually their first run at what they were considering making the movie about. As a result it seems to be a true sequel to the movie, definitely a good beach read for any VM fans out there.

Here you go! The first one just came out recently, and the second will come out later. The audiobook is narrated by Kristen Bell, and you can get it for free on audible.com if you sign up for their free trial. Just make sure to cancel your membership before your card gets charged.

It's the comics run that this season is (loosely) based on. There are a few nods/hints to it through the trailer. It's written by Frank Miller and it's fucking excellent. Yours to own for just £11.70!!

The actor that played Screech went a little off the deep end, He stabbed a guy a few years ago on Christmas. He also stared in the Saved by the Bell porno parody.

Lark Voorhies the actress who played Lisa Turtle has also gone completely insane. She now writes books that are pretty much unreadable.

FWIW, I remember reading one of his books and it was excellent. Cheap now, too.

u/EyeLoveHaikus · 2 pointsr/television

Here's a one time $30 cost for an antenna that picks up all the basic channels that carry big events like the Oscars and most of the important sports games. Also picks up about 50 other channels over the air.

Looks like you can only pre-order for now ($60 USD), can't seem to track down a release date though.

u/DavidDontDiveNoMore · 1 pointr/television

I watched through it several months ago on Hulu (and IIRC, there are a couple seasons on the free Hulu-owned service Crackle), but the creator is planning a 4K remaster for March 2017, which may end up on Netflix or another site. However, if you can't wait and want to start the show sooner rather than later, you can buy the whole DVD collection for $30 on Amazon.

I think I found it. Mindhunter by John Douglas.
Shit.
> During his twenty-five year career with the Investigative Support Unit, Special Agent John Douglas became a legendary figure in law enforcement, pursuing some of the most notorious and sadistic serial killers of our time: the man who hunted prostitutes for sport in the woods of Alaska, the Atlanta child murderer, and Seattle's Green River killer, the case that nearly cost Douglas his life.

> As the model for Jack Crawford in The Silence of the Lambs, Douglas has confronted, interviewed, and studied scores of serial killers and assassins, including Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, and Ed Gein, who dressed himself in his victims' peeled skin. Using his uncanny ability to become both predator and prey, Douglas examines each crime scene, reliving both the killer's and the victim's actions in his mind, creating their profiles, describing their habits, and predicting their next moves.

The stuff of nightmares and he tracked it down. Will be watching that one. And Stranger Things. I won't be sleeping much in October.
