If you like modding then again you can do the exact same things to headphones that actually sound better. I'm not saying "you're so dumb" for liking the convenience of gaming headphones. And sure you might not be looking for the best quality. But when you can achieve that quality for usually less than the gaming counterpart and keeping in mind you can spray paint those or whatever just as easily I don't really see your point.

Gaming is for fun. Isn't being totally immersed or being impressed by the quality of that super cool explosion fun too? I'm not even saying you should be an audiophile at all. You can easily build a gaming headset that sounds MUCH better that you can also mod if thats you're jam for cheap.

And again if you like fiddling around with your setup then headphones (not headsets) give you way more options as sometimes gaming headsets limit your sources, dacs, amps, pads, cables. ect ect to what they had in mind out of the box.

Edit - also if you don't want to deal with non-gaming headphones. There's at least a few pairs out there that still give you decent quality (usually better than the $200+ headphones like razer sometimes offers for example) and does not hurt the wallet.

Hey brother, there's a little book (seriously pocket-sized!) many would call the quick reference bible for English grammar:

Strunk and White's The Elements of Style - under $5 for a new physical copy! I use it every single time I'm editing... basically, whenever I have a shadow of a doubt about any rule.

One quick read through can help immensely with formatting and editing, and I think you could very well find it informative and beneficial :)

Keep writing, my man! Always happy to see people getting involved in creative pursuits.

The solution for me? Bought it for PC, HDMI to my TV, wireless 360 controller and one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Keyboard-Built-In-Multi-Touch/dp/B005DKZTMG

Best xbox game I've ever played now! lol. Selling this POS console. It's truly the "Windows Vista" of gaming.

Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ILD5846/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_rHZRCbP5CGJBN

$11.99

It is fairly simple prop to make. I left it assembled and primed it with black spray paint. Then I brushed on acrylic paint. This gives it a rough texture unfortunately, but removes the need to disassemble like air brushed versions. I distressed it by “chipping” the edges for wear and caking the handle to give it a thicker texture.

It was actual made for a Destiny cosplay costume for one of my kids. And yes, it is fully operational.

For about $20-25, you can do this too with small tubes of paint. Only took a leisurely 3-4 hours over a few nights to complete.

Hope this helps anyone who is interested in trying this.

Thanks to u/Charlie_Catz for posting originally and showing what’s possible with a little imagination...

everything i've heard/read says that while, technically, there is a slight performance drop, it's so small you might as well not count it. I believe it's like you said, a 1%ish drop. The extra 40 mhz on core and memory clock I have from OC Guru more than make up for it, that's a 4%-5% increase.

Also, I don't know what 760 you're using but I'm using one of the more beast models, the Windforce Rev 2.0 by Gigabyte. Although I do regret not getting the 4GB one now, Titanfall ultra needs 3GB VRAM, Shadow of Mordor needs 4GB+ for ultra textures. Still love it but I wish I had spent the extra $35ish for the extra VRAM.

These are the exact ones I used for both kneepads and shoulderpad.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018GWO7M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

For the shoulder pad just take one and flip it upside down, works pretty good if you can attach it to a vest properly

Is this happening with any other games? I asked before but I guess you missed it, heh. I'd suggest you download Speccy. You can use it to monitor the temperatures of components in your laptop. Play Titanfall windowed and watch your temperatures closely. If they reach a peak, your system will shut-off to prevent further damage to itself.

EDIT: Also, I'd recommend picking up a "can of air" like this. You can use it to do some dusting and clear out your PC's vents.

I'm still using one of these classics -- 400 DPI, 12.5 sensitivity. Great for DMR and Northstar snapshots.

Sorry for the delay, I'm doing a lot of reading lately.

Yes! You're right. It's most likely a video card issue, so a bug.

I recently switched from an older AMD Sapphire Radeon R7 265 to a more modern GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC; Then followed my instructions from Part 2 (turn all graphic settings off / low, with draw distance set to "far") and on the Geforce there were still bullet trails! I'm guessing the drop pod indicators were the same way, as per your testing.

I don't know if it's particular to that video card, AMD graphic cards in general, or just that the card was on the low end for the game and so "couldn't do" some effects in some configurations.

I'll edit the post going forward. Nicely done, thanks.

Edit: punctuation

I looked. Something like this pico usb drive...

https://www.amazon.com/Super-Talent-Pico-C-STU8GPCS-Silver/dp/B001BAW7P4

... was a thought, but in truth, there's no way you could put it at the end of a 3d printed blade and have it hold up. Too much weight on too small a point.

Amazon. You'll find a decent selection there. Here's the link to mine: TRU-SPEC 2656004 27-P Basic Flight Suit, Medium Regular, Sage https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0058DG2F6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_gL2EzbE8XF487

Of course the online servers were taken down ~1-2 years ago but I think community ones might've popped up if you know how to mod it to access them.

I did a google search and I found this, is [this] (https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Virtual-Adapter-External-ICUSBAUDIO7/dp/B002DW91F8) sort of like what you are using? In my search for answers I heard that Titanfall has a problem with virtual 7.1 headphones so I turned that feature off on my golds which are my main headphones but it still happened. I also tried it on a pair of sony and bose non gaming headsets which don't have 7.1 and they both did the same thing.

u/KinoTheMystic · 1 pointr/titanfall

yeah, that's your problem. You need an Xbox 360 hard drive. What you have is a flash drive. You need the one that attaches to the side of your console. It depends on which model you have. This is for the Xbox 360 S (or slim) console: http://www.amazon.com/320GB-Hard-Drive-Internal-Black/dp/B008FHL56S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397961698&sr=8-1&keywords=xbox+360+hdd
