On iFixIt, one person recommended a thin 3M double-sided tape, and another recommended Sugru moldable glue (comes in multiple colours) for restoring water resistance.

I would also recommend getting some double sided sticky tape to replace some of the tape that gets messed up during removal. For $3, you can't go wrong.

I bought the screen with the LCD and my seller gave me what seemed like the tape I needed. It was not. To make a long story short, you will need, ideally, 1mm double sided LCD screen tape. I got mine on amazon for super cheap. Just look up double sided screen tape or something. I bought something similar to this, if not this exactly, I'm not sure I'm on mobile so I don't have my history saved.

Don't be afraid to use it. I was kind of conservative with how much I used and wish I used more but I'm not opening that back up.
