£11 over budget but there is not a single thing you should downgrade here, unless you can get a second hand monitor for less (standard 1080p ones second hand tend to be in good condition as their owners have often just upgraded to higher resolution or bigger screen size, Gumtree might be worth a check).

  • This combo will play Witcher 3 at mostly high settings at 50fps+ and GTAV at mostly very high settings at the same - I used those two as they are demanding on both the CPU and GPU, and can tell you that as fact since I've done two builds identical to this as gifts for people in the last 3 months.

  • The GPU price is from Amazon Warehouse Deals I could not find one right now but got both of mine for £111, just keep checking Amazon Warehouse for GTX 1050 TI (it's used/returned but Amazon do no questions asked 30 day money back so if there are any issues you're covered). Don't settle for 460s, 560s or 1050 non-TIs because little differences are so pronounced at this end of the market (e.g. 35fps vs 45fps is much more noticeable than 50fps vs 60fps) that skimping below will really impact your performance. The price for a 1050 TI bought first hand is about £129+.

  • The case is good too, and right around the lowest cost you will find - I used it for one of the builds and it is well laid out inside and looks nice (there is a white one on Amazon for about a fiver more). Good budget PSU (I used the exact same but 430W on both builds as it was on sale, trust me this one is both good and quiet).

  • SSDs are really nice to have and you should maybe consider one in the future as it makes the overall computer run much faster and smoother, but it does not improve fps or anything so a HDD will do fine - as was the case in both builds I did. The RAM is a really good price (and while it's only a very small difference, getting 2400mhz instead of the regular 2133mhz is a nice little bump), won't be available for two weeks but I say order now because once it is that price will probably go up £10-15 instantly.

  • Upgrade: Upgrading a GPU is pretty simple, just take out and sell the old one and put in a new, they hold their value well so selling the 1050 TI down the line for a decent price (£90+) should be very easy while prices for better cards should get a lot better later in the year (long story but bitcoin mining has caused them to go mental the last 2-3 months). An i5 or i7 will give you a lovely boost and last for years, so you can even stash a tenner a month away, sell the G4560 next summer and get yourself something like an i5 7500 and that's you set for ages. There will also be a spare RAM slot if you want to bump up to 16GB in future, but if you do be sure to get the -exact- same make, model and frequency as this one (helps them work better together). And as mentioned an SSD in future should you like.

I have this RAM - well two 8Gb sticks of the red version which shows as coming into stock on 26th of June.

When I ordered it was a similar time between ordering and it saying it was going to be in stock, but it turned up 2 days later!

I have it paired with a Ryzen 5 1600 in a MSI B350 Gaming pro mATX board - as soon as windows was installed I upped the voltage to 1.35 volts and it's been running error free at 3200Mhz CAS16, seriously cheap for that performance!

Edit: Last 3 pictures of this album show it in a system.

Here is a single 8 GB stick of the ram you linked for £39.97. It's not in stock until April 17 and it's only available to Prime Members but it's a far better price than the the set you linked.

I think you should only start with an ssd, and not get a HDD. It's what I did, adding a hdd is really easy.

Your build choice is really solid tbh mate, the parts you've picked are the best in terms of performance/price ratio. You won't really cut costs anymore unless you look for sales.

HDD's go on sale pretty often. Amd also likes putting their stuff on sale, although usually it's the GPU, which you're not gonna get much cheaper than that. Just keep your eyes peeled on /r/buildapcsalesuk , you can find 8gb ram sticks at 2400mhz for about £40: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ADATA-DDR4-2400-Memory-Modules/dp/B01M0QPJ6O/ref=sr_1_7?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1494694619&sr=1-7&th=1

Was just an idea, my 2400 ram runs at 3332 without any issues whatsoever. Note: that isn't the ram I have

They have a lifetime warranty so no worse than any other.

That link keeps defaulting to the 16gb set which is £150.

If you select a single 8gb module in red it's only £39 so if you get 2 it will be 16gb for £80..
