I use the kindle powerfast 9w charger from Amazon.

  1. Right now I am sitting on my couch watching my son play while reading RAOA on my Kindle.
  2. I am doing this because I am procrastinating folding laundry.
  3. Tomorrow I start my new job. I am nervous.
  4. A long term goal is to get my husband into PADI dive classes.
  5. Crap, lots and lots of crap. My desk is a dumping ground for the house. So there is the fabric and pins for making clothes for my son, a bill I still need to pay, a single shoe for Tren, and more.
  6. There is no book anywhere near me. Closest thing is the new tsunami evacuation map."A distant tsunami will take 4 hours to come ashore."

  8. Last thing I had to eat was broccoli and cheese rice.
  9. The last book I read was The Curse of Time by my husband. It is a good book.

This will work well for you needs..

The stock Kindle charger isn't much more expensive, and is built better than most aftermarket stuff.

A powered USB hub will not only power your PI, but you can multi-purpose it to power the PI, it's accessories, and connect them to the PI. This is how mine it set up.

Amazon has a 9 Watt 2.2 Amp charging brick http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-PowerFast-Adapter-Accelerated-Charging/dp/B006GWO5WK/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1417319949&sr=1-2&keywords=Kindle+fire+hd+charger I bought one to go with my KFHD7 two years ago and it's still going strong. Well worth the $20. If I had to buy a single charging brick again, it would be that one.
