Personally, it's been okay--it only gets in the way when I use the phone in a car without Bluetooth connectivity.

Keep in mind though, if you want to charge the phone at the same time, you'll need a dongle (like the Moshi one) as well as a car charger with PD like this Anker one). That's my current setup and it works well--I get fast charging instead of a trickle charge/slow drain and the audio works fine.

I purchased this works great for my previous XS Max and now 11 pro max.

Pixel 2-3s rapidly charge when they're connected to power delivery ports. Meaning USB type C to type C, like the cord and charger that came with your phone.
Maybe your doesn't charge because you're using it?
I would advise getting a power delivery car charger adapter like this one

Sorry I couldn't explain better. I'm on mobile.

Anker also offers a lower cost PD charger where the PD port maxes out at 18W vs the 30W of the one your cited, which should be fine for OP if the only thing he'll be charging is his phone. The higher output version would make sense if they planned on using it to charge tablets, laptops, or Switches.

I use this Anker one. Just make sure you use a legit cable.

FF7 is a good one. Anything 2d is going to be easier on the battery though. That said... the Switch charges... basically not at all from a laptop USB port. Can you get a USB-PD car charger or battery pack?
