Anker Powerline+ cords are where it's at. They have 10ft cords, and they are super durable. I have had some for years that show no sign of degradation. And they aren't really any more expensive than other cables that are definitively worse.

You may be able to find each cheaper, I just picked some links.

This one in particular is what I bought, 6 feet long.

This one is a 10 foot version of the same cable.

And this one is a slightly cheaper version, still very nice though. I was using this style for awhile before I gave them away to friends and picked up the nylon braided ones.

If you use worst than 20awg and lower than 5.2V charger you will get the "connected but not charging".

https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B019Q6F9F4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the only wire which i can use with the orginal charger, and never get the "not charging"

Anker - once I saw that name I knew this would be good.

Their cables are the fucking best. I lost my original micro usb cable for my 10in Surface 3 (non-pro) and none of the shitty usbs I had delivered enough power over distance to actually charge the device. Their cable is so damn burly even the 10ft works just fine

the 6ft even came with a nice holder that looks like a sunglasses case

Oh I forgot to mention the cables are on Amazon. Here’s the link: Anker Powerline+ Micro USB (10ft) The Premium Durable Cable [Double Braided Nylon] for Samsung, Nexus, LG, Motorola, Android Smartphones and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019Q6F9F4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KriWCb2BFPP18

I'm using Ankers 6' braided micro USB cable. The connection is very solid and it supports fast charging technologies. You should continue to use the wall adapter that came with your smartphone. If you lost it, Anker has some great options for those too. Here's the 10' version which is a fair price.

I'm using an LG G4
I have two headsets I switch between:
The BoboVR Z4 and the Freefly VR

The Freefly has a noticeably better FOV, but the center is out of focus (partly due to the curve of the G4) and other due to the design of the Freefly.

In contrast, the sharpness is leaps and bounds better on the Z4, it allows you to read text from a distance.

I have 3 PS eyes set up in a triangle position with the the single camera behind me and the two front cameras are about 3-4 feet in front of me on the walls to my left and right. All cameras are about 9ft high. The play area is great with about a 5 ft square of walk-able space (this is a limitation of my play area rather than the FOV of the cameras which is much wider)

I have my phone connected via a 10ft microUSB cable tethered and I have both cords wrapped around the vertical straps of both headsets so I can switch between them easily. The experience is incredibly smooth with no lag at all (I am using one of these cables: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerLine-Premium-Motorola-Smartphones/dp/B019Q6F9F4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475102139&sr=8-2&keywords=anker+10ft+micro+usb and one of the 10 footers from this pack: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-5-Pack-PowerLine-Micro-USB/dp/B015XPL2JE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1475102139&sr=8-6&keywords=anker+10ft+micro+usb

there does not seem to be any quality difference between the two.

My buddy just tried it and was pretty impressed :)
