Your dashcam may have an app that allows you to download the card with a wifi connection. Alternatively, you can use [this] along with the microSD to SD adapter that comes with most microSD cards.

I know I used to have this adapter that directly connected to my iPad, where you could insert an SD card I think! I don’t know if they still make those though? I haven’t looked.

Ok I looked it up.

This one is expensive but you should look around. I hope this is helpful! Don’t know how soon you need it.

If you camera has wireless transfer, I'd use that. Otherwise there's SD-to-iPhone adapters out there.

I'm planning on purchasing this for this exact reason: https://www.amazon.com/Apple-Lightning-Card-Camera-Reader/dp/B0198HIF7K

This or something similar, or a USB cable to directly connect.

I am sure third party ones are cheaper, but its nice they have the option. I would imagine this is a more power user solution, but it could be looking into if you find it worth it.

Try something like this. . Way easier. Removes the forcible use of middleman software.

That's why I've had to use SD cards in an adapter in Slot B. It's an extra step, but it actually hasn't caused me any trouble (to my surprise). I got an SD to CF adaptor and use the Apple branded SD to iPhone card reader.

I have one of these in all of my cameras.

And then I pop the card out and into one of these.

This has been 100 percent reliable for four years, and the best way I've found to move only selected photos from my camera to my phone on the fly.

One nice benefit to running an SD card in one slot has been how cheap giant SD cards are, too. When I'm on assignments where I do video it's nice to have a giant backup available.

SD card reader that plugs into your lightning port. I've used it a ton for photos. Works great.

With the iPad question, the Lightning to SD adapter has worked flawlessly for me. Allows an iPad to save to their camera roll and import into apps like iMovie or Adobe Clip.

Slightly off-topic but could help somebody, if you have a jailbroken iPad you can buy a tweak called DSLRcontroller that allows you to use the iPad as a monitor via USB.
