The original one does not, but the new magic keyboard does charge with lightning.
Its smaller and more solid which are great, but is twice the price.
Another one worth looking into is this one by Anker. It’s advertised to work with iPads and I’ve heard great things about it, though I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out myself.
I knew there were some differences (that's why I'm not sweating the Num Lock), but I was sure macOS supports a delete key.
In any case, the d-pad is a deal breaker. How would you troubleshoot?

Well if you’re looking for a direct replacement, you can buy one on the Apple store or amazon. But my personal recommendation is one of the smaller magic keyboards. IMO it’s much easier to navigate the Apple TV, but it might not be for everyone.
