I always recommend the Asus VG248Q great little monitor with a 144hz variant

I would go with these two:

• ASUS VE248Q as your secondary monitor

  They look almost identical, but the VG248QE has 144hz refresh rate which is great.

Got mine about 5 months ago and I love it. If I remember correctly, I turned v-sync off when I got my monitor and there was an obvious difference at first. I'm not sure if it was my screen tearing or not but it took MAYBE a day (if not less) of playing to get used to it. Once you play with it for awhile, you'll never want to turn it back on (with a monitor at least, never played with it off with my TV) I also noticed there was virtually no input lag compared to my TV and that helped a lot with my response time and everything. If you're thinking about switching I highly recommend it.

They aren't even that expensive when you compare it to two high quality monitors. This isn't even the cheapest one I found and it seems they all come with displayport which is a relatively large markup on smaller monitors. If you don't care about portability, this is the way to go.

Edit: Turns out these monitors suffer from low hertz. The MX299Q I posted actually goes to about 60 which isn't that bad but if you are running higher, it'll be pricier of course.

Depends what you consider cheap? This is the one I use as secondary monitor for my PC and to play consoles on, it does the job well. It only has one HDMI port however so I use my PC on displayport and consoles on the HDMI port. If you need 2x HDMI ports I believe the 27" variant does have option for 2x HDMI ports, a bit more expensive though.

The two at both ends are ASUS VE248Q and my middle one is an Acer monitor I picked up for $180 on sale at staples. You can see that one here.

I think it would be okay, but you also have to remember that, unless you have the new PS4 pro controller that gets rid of input lag by plugging into the PS4, the Bluetooth connection causes addition input lag.

If I can make a recommendation, I would look at this one, if funds are an issue

This is the one that I have for my PC, but I plug my PS4 up if I'm playing a competitive game like Rocket league/2k/For Honor/FPS

I love my monitor and it makes an undeniable difference in ultra competitive games like Rocket League or 2k where there is a significant amount of input lag.

Another main difference is that the one I have has a refresh rate of 144 hz and unless you have a PC you would use it for those extra 84hz won't make a difference since PS4 games can't go over 60 fps. It will make the game smoother, but you won't get any extra frames, which is why the first monitor I linked would be better for console usage exclusively.

Sorry I meant $2000 but I'm sure you already figured that out:

• The PSU was on sale and I got tempted. I figured it would a better investment later on if I wanted an upgrade.
  
• Any suggestions for a MoBo? This is my first build so I don't really know better.

Works well enough for the kitchen, keeps it nice and clean with no wires or stand since Im edge clamping a monitor arm mount to the edge of the bar.

It has speaker out, so you go mini jack to rca to a 'sound bar'. As for higher refresh rate monitors, they might have one, I was going super cheap. and 24" at 1080p looks really good. I didnt want any bigger than 24" and tv's at that size are 720p only for the most part. 1080p comes in at like 32" when I was looking. That monitor, soundbar, monitor arm, and all stuff like power strip stuck to the back and such, cost right around $225

It seems like the Q one is more expensive (10 dollar difference) What does it have? Should I get the Q one instead of the H one? It also seems that the Q one has 50,000,000 instead of the H one which has 10,000,000 (Which is better?) Also seem like in Newegg the monitor has a sticker on it while in Amazon it doesn't. Something to consider? Where should I buy it from?

I'd definitely be happy if you showed me a few monitors and i've done a little bit of looking around myself and came across these two monitors:

1. ASUS 24" 1080P with 1 HDMI and 1 display port
   
   
2. LG 24" IPS with 2 HDMI ports
   
   How do these look? Many of the other monitors I saw only had 1 hdmi port and a vga port which got me thinking; do I need a display port or can I get a thunderbolt to VGA adapter or thunderbolt to hdmi port and use that? Are there any drawbacks to that or differences than using a display port?
   
   Also if I play my ps4 on this monitor will there be any kind of input lag or would I not have to worry about that? I know it's something I have to think about when using certain types of tv's because i've had friends who have gotten new tv's but now there is a noticeable input lag and ruins the experience when playing games. Is that something I need to be concerned about on these kinds of monitors?
   
   update: I also found this ACER 24" IPS with 1 DVI (w/HDCP), 1 HDMI, and 1 VGA port.
   
   This one is much cheaper but I'm not sure the differences between them? It says 4ms rapid response time, compared to the 2ms on the ASUS. Is that difference noticeable or negligible for ps4 gaming? Can i get away with using the HDMI for my ps4, get an adapter to VGA for my mac or are there drawbacks for using VGA? So far of the 3, the ASUS seems the best but this one is 40 bones cheaper.

I've done my research and I'm perfectly happy with the specs for the Surface Laptop. I only need a computer for word processing and reading so the mid range Surface Laptop will be able to do everything I need no problem. Its important for me to have something sleek and professional looking while small and light weight since my law books are practically bricks.

The 7700K is the strongest regular gaming processor, the GTX 1070 a good gpu. If you want to use up more of your budget you could go to a GTX 1080, but I sticked to the GTX 1070 as I decided to pick two 1080p displays for this build. And the 1070 is pretty powerful for 1080p. 512GB SSD plus a 1TB HDD, I think the case strikes the futuristic design checkbox (but you absolutely can pick another one if you prefer).

Not sure what you are smoking. Displayport 1.3 will be on 4k monitors, but they will leave it off tvs to prevent PC use of a tv as a monitor.
