EDIT3: u/_johngrubb pointed out that the cables I pointed out were older. There are no reviews for either of these products by Benson or Nathan. I would still be cautious when choosing your cables and chargers.

~~While this looks like a great deal (thank you OP for bringing it to our attention), the cables do not seem to be benson leung approved. "this cable does NOT comply with the USB Type-C specification version 1.1" ... "If you're looking for a USB Type-C cable that is compatible with Pixel and other future devices that follow the USB Type-C specification, do not use this." - Benson Leung

I'm currently researching the car charger, but I believe Benson reviewed another aukey charger and found it not compliant with usb c standards.

EDIT: I cannot find any USB C reviews by reviewers like Benson L or Nathan K. It may be a great price, but I would be cautious about purchasing and using usb c chargers without a proper review.

EDIT2: AUKEY has a usb c PD car charger that has a bad review from Nathan K. Here is the amazon page
https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Delivery-Output-MacBook/dp/B01LGO9LE4/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1494456770&sr=1-1&keywords=usb+c+pd+car+charger

I personally won't trust products from AUKEY until I see some positive reviews by technicians, such as google's Benson Leung

No. You want to look for "USB Power Delivery". There arent many good ones on the market to be frank. I use the one linked below as a compromise.

NathanK has reviewed it and has deemed it sub-par.

I got one of these for my OG Pixel and Pixel XL:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LGO9LE4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It supports USB PD and quick charges just fine. It hasn't caught fire yet either. Not available atm though...

You could also try one from Benson's list of tested chargers:

Going off of Nathan & Benson charts, I just ordered these:

[AUKEY Car Charger] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LGO9LE4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
and the
[OEM USB-C to USB-C Cable] (https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_usb_type_c)

I'm really trying to protect the battery on my Pixel since this is the first time I've have a non-removable battery in a long time. I hope the do the job and do it well, being as though this is the most I've ever paid for a car charger before.

The [iPhone 8 and iPhone X support fast charging over USB-C Power Delivery](
https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/9/13/16301660/apple-iphone-8-x-fast-charging-usb-c-power-charger).

So just get a USB-C PD car charger, like one of these, plus an Apple^† USB-C to Lightning cable.

I am using this one (from the sidebar spreadsheet) and getting rapid charging speeds in the car.

This works for me. Does fast charging and my Bluetooth -> Aux adapter.

That's the CC-Y7, which (on the US amazon site, anyway) the top review is from /u/Nathan-K with one star and a huge post about why. I'm technical enough but not a practiced electrical engineer, so I can't follow every reason he has, and I know it's a contested opinion (review comments show that as well). Here's a link to the US version with the review.

I almost bought that one anyways, actually, because I'm inclined to trust Aukey over most brands, but that stopped me. Just want something made right and that I won't have to think/worry about.

I use this one and it works great on my Pixel 2 XL. Also worked on my Pixel 1 XL. It conforms to the USB-C power delivery spec so should support the fast charging.

Edit: this is the wrong charger, I linked the correct one below.

Doesn't look like anyone has what you need yet.

This is the kind I would recommend Dual USB Charger Power Socket 12V 1A 2.1A or 12V to 5V 3A USB Output Step Down Voltage Regulator, but no one seems to make a C version yet. 12v USB-C adapters seem to be limited to the cigarette lighter style plug.

You might just use a 12v socket like this one: 12V 5A Car Cigarette Lighter Socket with a USB C car charger and burry it in the dash or glovebox maybe. I did this with the power supply for my gps.

Correction, I found this: I added it to my Amazon Wish List to check out if someone wants to donate one to me.
