I was told by vortex customer service what type of mount I will need to mount this optic. they informed me that the Burris fast fire III has the same foot print as the vortex venom 3 moa. I went with the sightmark because it was cheaper i found this video on youtube showing the install of the sight on a glock using the sightmark mounting plate made for that type of gun but most importantly they wrre installing the same exact vortex 3moa sight being sold here on sportmen guide.. So i figure that the plate they used in the video which is a sight mark plate will work with the optic but the real question is how tight the fit is on the slide of my weapon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QSxdZY723c Worst case ill get the burris that vortex says will work and sell the sight mark mount plate. Hope this helps. Edit: be sure the plate you buy corresponds to the type of weapon you plan to install it on...I E. a sig p226 plate for a sig p226. Or a glock plate for us on a glock pistol.
I used to have a MRD on my sp2022 that I took off I used this this mount. I still have the mount if you want, it kindof makes the sight sit high but it's not a permanent modification.
