Any of these will do, but some require assembly: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=dac+hat&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Adac+hat
the one my friend Mike is using is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Analog-Converter-Raspberry-headphones/dp/B01M71V6WF/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1510689452&sr=8-3&keywords=dac+hat&dpID=51fIWeVwcyL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

USB to audio allows the raspberry pi to produce sound from its USB port, using a USB to audio adapter such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-2-Pack-Adapter-Windows/dp/B012E4CUPC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1510689563&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=USB+to+audio&psc=1

Also, raspberry pi has interfaceable GPIOs, and the concept of a "HAT" is anything you stick on top of the GPIOs. A dac hat is simply a DAC that rests on the GPIOs. HAT stands for Hardware Attached on Top

maybe the port for the headphones is broken. try the g430s on a different computer. if the port is broken, buy something like this.

try rotating the cable in the port and pulling the cable out halfway, the audio will sound horrible and glitchy but if both speakers play it maybe the port is broken.

That possibility blows my mind. But if it doesn't have the jack, then you'd need to get something like one of these. What's your laptop out of curiosity, I need to see this?
