I just chucked one of these in, and use a set of earbuds and the mic on the radio. Really don't like shared earpieces, and REALLY REALLY REALLY don't like Staples choices in "music". You'd swear the N.A.D. had a major hand in it.
I think something like this 3.5mm joiner would work well for you. You basically have two inputs and one output.
Any 'ol 2F-1M cable won't work!
I thought the solution was to simply purchase a cable like this: Amazon link; however, these are made for one-source-two-outputs (e.g. iPod to two pairs of ear/headphones). And using them in reverse as two-sources-one-output (e.g. 3DS and PC to one pair ear/headphones) results in some audio issues: low quality, no stereo support, etc.
So it seems I need to find a cable that properly supports two-sources-to-one-output, or an alternate solution.

"Why do you need that, anyway?"
Personally, I want it so I can chat in Discord/TeamSpeak whilst still being able to enjoy audio from my 3DS. Stacking headphones over earphones is uncomfortable and the audio from the headphones isn't very audible or clear.
The cable I currently have works, but it's too short.
Any help or alternate solution suggestions are greatly appreciated!
