Command hooks. They're basically tape attached to a hook and if your wall is primed properly, it won't take off the paint when you remove them.

I use Christmas light clips/hooks for dangly earrings and necklaces, because I can just stick them to the wall and peel them off without damaging the paint. I also use tackle boxes (for fishing) and empty heart-shaped chocolate boxes for studs and smaller earrings.

The lip isn't huge, small enough that even the smallest of binder clips can get over it. I'd be concerned about drilling holes in the pots for the simple reason that I have a tendency to move these suckers around a lot and I would be concerned about the pot cracking.

Hmm....

I wonder if there would be some way to affix holes along the side of the pot.

Edit: Maybe command strips along the lower portion of the planter where they wouldn't be inclined to catch onto other stuff? Hmm...
