I hate this problem. Painted Road is the worst, which is why I always think the CSH painted sections are so mad.
Probably not the cheapest option but change your tyres. For my commute, the biggest time sinks are traffic lights. The extra 10 seconds that a slick tyre might give me gets lost either at the first or second light I encounter.
So when I moved back to London, I got a bike with disc brakes and wider/slightly chunkier tyres. To deal with this issue of slick Road conditions.
So not sure what your bikes primary purpose is, if you need it for long rides/racing etc or if it's just your commuter bike but I would consider different tyres until March.
