TL;DR The model number for the RAM I want isn't on the compatibility sheet for the motherboard I already bought but there are RAM model numbers on there that I KNOW are not compatible. Is the RAM I want compatible or not?
I'm doing a Ryzen 5 build with a Gigabyte GA-A320M-HD2 motherboard. I wanted to check my RAM compatibility before placing my order but I'm getting pretty confused by the compatibility list that Gigabyte provides here. I want to order this single stick of 16 GB ram from Corsair with model number CMK16GX4M1A2400C14. This model number doesn't show up on the compatibility sheet but CMK64GX4M4A2400C14 does. This is the same RAM (I think) at 2400 MHz and C14 but its 16 x 4 to get a total of 64 GB. If this is the case, the model number they listed won't work because the mobo only has two RAM slots (whereas the model number I want would)! Am I miss reading this or is it common to see a compatibility sheet like this? Will the RAM I want work? Thanks!
