Punch fisting is where the top enters your hole with a fist, versus the folded hand usually used. My usual fisting partner will get me up to that point by going with piston (which is basically the folded hand, and going at the same speed in and out over and over), then speed (alternates his hands going in me but picking up the pace), then to punch when my hole is loose enough.
At first, it felt effin weird, and I'm a bit of a dramatic hypochondriac so I was worried about bleeding, perforated colon, etc - but he knows my anxieties really well and we work up to it and it feels so good now. Also, for the record, I don't use the fisting toys (like the one I linked to here). I use simply dildos and butt plugs to open up my hole along with my fingers.
In addition, with the toy, it can't be manipulated in certain ways, whereas, when a guy's fist is in me, he can slowly open up his fist, move his fingers, rotate his hand, etc and that just sets off so many good feelings.

Not for me. I used toys fairly regularly in my solo play. Maybe 6 months of several times a week. I think the one that made the most impact was my inflatable butt plug. Then I got an XXL butt plug. That was much more solid and I could work on stretching my opening. That toy is 2.5” in diameter. Once I could easily take that, I was feeling frisky one night and tried a soda can and, well only being a tiny bit larger than the plug, I was successful.
All the time I was using toys solo, my wife and I were pegging and she would use some of my toys on me. One day I asked, do you think you could fit your hand in a hole the size of a soda can? LOL Well, I talked her into tying it, and the first time was a success. Please note, I had been doing a lot of playing solo up to this point, so don’t go full send right away. It won’t end well.
