I use paper bedding, hay, and throw some toilet paper tubes in that they can chew to keep busy and as more bedding. I also use some of this . It’s really cheap and is good to lay on the top. I buy it at my local pet store and it’s cheaper there. 13$ for a 30 liter bag. It expands a lot too
It's called Eco Bedding, and it's my favorite. They have unscented, or another with a very light scent that seems to control other odors a bit longer. It's zigzag-folded strips of paper, so it expands as they burrow in it. And there's no dust at all. It's great. We get it at one of the major chains (Petsmart or Petco, I can't keep them straight).
