Airbrush medium is basically airbush paint without any pigments, making it transparent if sprayed alone. With it you can mix acrylic paints and pigments to it to create a custom airbrush paint.

However, I have found just mixing airbush paints together to work just as well. YYMV but unless you have a stock of paint or pigments from other projects, I suggest just mixing the airbrush paints together.
