If the tray will be the entire width of the desk you can just get drawer rails and a piece of wood.
I just use one of these for each monitor. They're not quite tall enough, but I also have a keyboard tray, and an adjustable height desk. The tray lowers the keyboard by 4 inches, so I adjust the desk to be 4 inches higher, which makes it possible to place my monitors at the optimal height. Those monitor arms also save a lot of desk space (as does the keyboard tray).
It's rock solid and would definitely purchase it again.
