Although... How does one tell which gen of mini PCIe they have?

I have a samsung 700z7c-S01UB which as far as I can tell no one has a build for yet

Also, has anyone ever tried desoldering the iGPU (x16 connection in my case) and DIYing that into a eGPU connection?
