I've used the Ultra Pro Deck Protectors for sleeving my board game cards and Warmachine cards. They look to be half the price of the Dragon Shield Clears too.

I used the ultra pro standards. They've worked well for all my standard card games like Legendary Marvel, Harry Potter Hogwartz Battle, and Clank!

I've been double sleeving mine since I started. I use a few different over-sleeves.
I use the fantasy flight black sleeves for the encounter deck, and fantasy white sleeve for set aside cards. Which ultimately I've decided I don't like because of the difficulty to acquire at times and they are very long compared to other sleeves. With that said they aren't bad sleeves just not the best.
I use Ultra-Pro Clear Deck Protector Sleeves for any double sided cards such as locations, acts, agendas, and special cards. These I really like, they are pretty spot on for sizing with the perfect fits. They have a great handling feel, though can be slick, and have a good thickness to them. I know some don't like the emblem on the but I've found it doesn't really matter to me. I do think there are a version of these with out the emblem.
I also color code my investigators with class color. I have used different sleeves to get the right colors as I could but if you can I can recommend the Ultra-Pro Eclipses followed by the Ultra-Pro Matte. The sizing, quality, and color are top rate. I absolutely love the black inside backing of the Eclipses.
Note: I've not been satisfied with the dragon shields as in my experience they are slightly too narrow for double sleeving with the KMC perfect fits.

I chose the sleeves because they are durable and transparent on both sides so you don't have to take the card out of the sleeve to look at the back. The binder is also good for valuable cards because 1. of the way it folds 2. the cards are not back to back to each other 3. the pockets are loaded from the side not the top so they can't slide out easily. The only downside is that it starts to bend slightly when there are 480 cards + sleeves.
Just the standard clear sleeves. AS GossamerSolid said, the dot/logo is still there but it is basically transparent.

Buy Ultra Pro Clear Sleeve. You can buy a pack of 100 for like 6 bucks off eBay or Amazon. It has a little circle on the bottom but it doesn't interfere.

Do those long boxes hold sleeved cards? The pictures I'm looking at online look kind of tight with bare cards?
Are there long boxes but not cardboard? It's pretty likely that the box is going to end up passed around the same table as several cups of coffee and tea.
