Sure.
The bike uses two 15ft strands wired to one battery pack from Ellumiglow.com. (I bought mine from Fry's Electronics though.) They were much more expensive than the ones I bought off Amazon & I had to buy connectors & the battery/controller separately.
$22 for the 15ft wire
$16 for the battery/controller
$5 for connectors
Here is their site
But the quality & power of the battery pack is definitely superior. Ellumiglow uses a 9v battery, where the Amazon ones use 2 AA batterys. The 9v makes the wire noticeably brighter.
The EL wire used on my helmet is two 9ft strands from Amazon wired to one ellumiglow controller.
For $6 you really cant go wrong.
This is the Amazon wire I have purchased in the past. It comes with a battery pack.
The wheels are just snap glow bracelets woven through the spokes
I've thought about trying to do this but figured it wasn't worth the effort. I took a regular backpack and sewed on some cheap red EL wire to make it more visible at night (it looks pretty cool in the dark - very tron-like).
Here's a link to the wire.
Here's the blue I used
And the red
Both come with pocket inverters that use AA batteries
( can someone tell me how do you do that cool hyperlink thing with words?)
Edit: did the cool link thing.
