Splits headphone output to two stereo headphonesSeparate volume control for each outputCan be used to connect separate microphone and headphone connections to a single TRRS connection for use with smartphones
You're gonna want this and you're gonna want this and do this.
As for the tv stuff - get a directional mic or sit further apart.
So are you suggest a splitter like this?
I will eventually get a proper interface, but I'm trying to find a quick fix for the moment.
Here is a simple solution. This has microphone support so you just plug the mic into one slot and the headphones into another and you're good to go.
That's too clunky, especially when switching to other audio. Workaround I'm using in the meantime is one of these http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-107116-Headphone-Splitter-Separate/dp/B0016CFZQ0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1425173859&sr=8-3&keywords=volume+headphone
In the tutorial you'll see I recommend getting a headphone splitter with volume control to solve this problem. Without one you're at the mercy of whether or not the game your playing has built in audio settings, and most don't. I use this because it's cheap but any similar thing will do.
So TV is connected to this: https://smile.amazon.com/Mediabridge-3-5mm-Male-2-Male-Adapter/dp/B004YEBK66?sa-no-redirect=1
Dot is connected to this: https://smile.amazon.com/Mediabridge-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B004LTEUDO?sa-no-redirect=1
The cables from the TV and Dot go to this: https://smile.amazon.com/Monoprice-Headphone-Splitter-Separate-Controls/dp/B0016CFZQ0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1478454920&sr=1-2&keywords=headphone+splitter+volume
And that splitter then connects with another one of these: https://smile.amazon.com/Mediabridge-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B004LTEUDO?sa-no-redirect=1
Which then connects to the speaker.
I know. I also live in Europe (Spain), and most things available in USA are not in EU, or have a substantial increase in price. Take in account that most USA states do not charge buyers with VAT. In my country, VAT is 21%, that means that (dollar-euro exchange aside), everything is at least 20% more expensive here than in amazon.com.
Anyway, if the microphone is the problem, you could also get a chinese microphone in your local crap store and use a two female TRS to one male TRRS adapter. Your voice will not be high quality, but I doubt a chinese crap micro costs more than 3€.
A more affordable choice (without micro) would be the superlux evo at 40$.
Unfortunately, there is simply no gaming headset available with micro and good sound quality below 70$.
Edit: have you tried Aliexpress or Bangood? Those Chinese sites are fairly reliable, and most sellers usually send goods without shipping cost and labeled as "gift" so your country doesn't apply taxes... You can get HyperX cloud for 50€ shipping included.
If I understand your problem you could do what I did and buy these, cheap and useful even it they don't work for this issue. https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Headphone-Splitter-Separate-Controls/dp/B0016CFZQ0
