I checked - I had purchased this from Amazon - it did not work for me. I don't know if it was defective or it is not meant to convert stereo signal into mono in the first place and I used it incorrectly - hard to tell from descriptions. The 1-BUD Stereo-to-Mono Converter does work tho - so I don't know if the Amazon product was a defective Chinese product or my incorrect use of it.

That model is a mono deck so the adapter style is in the link I'll put here. The headphone output ports can be really fragile, so take care with bumping the headphone port around with extra plugs and heavy cables.

In the event that you need a 6.3mm adapter, unfortunately I couldn't find any 6.3mm stereo to mono passive adapters, so worse comes to worse, you could just purchase a 3.5mm to 6.3mm passive adapter and use it with the 3.5mm stereo to mono adapter.

What you want to do is take the stereo laptop channels and combine them to one mono channel, and place that on the right channel, and place the mono lapel mic channel on the left channel.

The adapter you have is made to split two stereo signals, which is why the laptop is still stereo.

You want two adapters. Plug your laptop into this:

If you can't find a fix for it. Try setting the ipod to mono mode.

I would look for a stereo headphone channel spliter like this

then get mono to stereo converter

plug the stereo to mono adapter into center/sub jack that should give you a separate sub and center channel. plug the mono to stereo adapter into the center channel and plug speakers in that. That should give you sound out of both speakers.

Remember to setup the speakers for 5.1 and disable the rear speakers and sub.

Edit:you could DIY this with some old headphone jacks and some electrical tap >:) .

Edit2. after looking at your speakers I got another idea, how well it would work is another story.
Use your Harman/Kardon Multimedia Speaker System for the center/sub and the antec for left and right. Then get a Stereo to mono adapter and a mono to stereo adapter. plug the mono to stereo into the center/sub jack. Next plug the mono to stereo into the stereo to mono adapter and plug the Harman/Kardon Multimedia Speaker System in that.

The idea is to combine the center and sub into on channel then split it so that the Left and right speakers get sound and Harman/Kardon Multimedia Speaker System should filter the sub sounds to the sub. now you got left/right (antec), center/sub(harman/kardon) sounds coming out of your speakers :)
