The link above was the 2nd generation Moto G (the current one). There is a 4G version of the phone (aptly named the Moto G LTE), which you can find here. Compared to the 2nd generation, the LTE model has a smaller screen and worse camera, but all the internals are pretty much the same.

it's the 4G LTE and I am unsure if it's a first or second gen and if it has the quad core CPU.
As for the custom rom..I always loved those options.
I still see Moto G LTE 2013 and Moto G 2014 available.
Are you in a 2G or 4G-non-LTE area? T-Mobile will upgrade most of 2G areas with LTE by mid-2015. Moto G 2014 won't be able to take advantage of the upgrade.
