I'll plug them directly into the consoles and then connect them to an HDMI switcher via HDMI, and then connect that to the DVI to HDMI in the monitor. Then I'll re-route the audio into a pair of speakers using a 3.5mm to RCA adapter for each one.

Its not perfect, but its better than messing around with component cables. I have had mine for 3 years and it was worth every penny.
