If you don't want to run new wire, these can do the trick. They piggyback on your existing electrical wires. Plug one in outlet near your router, plug other near your PC, and run ethernet from router to adapter, then adapter #2 to PC.

I use Netgear powerline adapters. They're not the cheapest way to do things, but they are absolutely effective. I've been using three XE102s for several years with 0 problems. I haven't looked much into it, but they have other types for multiple network connections.

I have UVerse and I have these in 3 spots in my house.

My xbox360 is downstairs in the media room and my router is upstairs in the office so laying cable wasn't an option. These work fantastic with no lag and installation was basically plugging them in.

sigh it still surprises me how many people simply aren't aware that these products exist. I have always used them, and they have always worked as well as an ethernet cable, with minimal cable management issues and practically speaking more range.

This is the product which does that. I've heard the electricity can mess with the internet connection, but my knowledge is sub par on it.
