it puts out ALOT of resistance the faster the rpm. I'm sold. my wife can now maintain it for about 20 minutes at a slower speed. I can maintain it at high speed for just under 5 minutes.

The reason why people are telling you not to hangboard as a beginner is b/c even if your larger muscles develop fast, your fingers and tendons won't. Finger injuries commonly happen when people overload their fingers (like hangboarding) and the smaller muscles and tendons (which take longer to strengthen) can't handle the strain. And those injuries take even longer to heal. Popped my A2 pulley early on, and it took almost a year to really heal (mostly b/c I was stupid and climbed again too soon). Finger injuries are no joke.
