Edit: 40 minutes later decided to give it another try. Ordered car holder and USB-C charger from Amazon .
I just realized that I would loooove to get rid of my GPS. Let's see if the phone is even remotely capable to replace it by only using the phone for a few weeks.
This thing has survived a cross-country trip and is still going strong. I use the vent clip, haven't even tried the dash or windshield holders yet but it comes with all three for $14.

I bought this on Amazon because I was trying to figure out where to keep my phone since I use Waze 24/7. I thought dash would be best but I found the phone to be too obtrusive to the view. The vent mount is what I'm running now, on the passenger's center vent. It's working...meh. It's not the permanent placement yet
